US?? You mean U.S. right? I´ve nothing to do with it.

Yes and No. I mean Western as the U.S, Europe (such as the UK etc) and Australia. Mainly U.S and UKas the whole terrorism situatiojn is due to the West causing problems in the Middle East through religious and political issues: trying to convert the Middle East to the Western lifestyle. This has been around for a VERY VERY long time. Bin Laden was just the first to react against the Western 'invasion'.

Well, the US is going to be in Iraq until 2008. This was in the news a few months ago I think, mind you that's the year we get a new president (Thank the lord). You know..what would the US be like if we had no president, kings, or prime ministers? And another thing, has anyone ever watched Binnie's videos? I usually only watch like a few seconds of them, XD notice how he's in the same exact 'cave?' With the same clothes, and they know 'exactly' what he's saying? They seem to throw 'these videos' at the media everytime people doubt Bushie, I find this amusing mainly because people actually fall for this XD. It's like a new video every month or so.

Bin laden isnt the first one; pretty much everywhere the western invaded counter attacked. Take the samurai for example; the dudes stood up to keep their traditions instead of giving into new affair with us.

They just wanted some sword fighting man. <.<

And Vietnam, don't forget Vietnam. It was also a target to be 'Westerized' by the U.S. because it became a Communistic country.

Don't know much 'bout the story behind Korea, but I bet it was the same one as Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam and all others.

In 1945, Soviet and U.S. troops occupied the northern and southern halves of the country, respectively. The two Cold War enemies helped establish governments sympathetic to their own ideologies, leading to Korea's current division into two political entities: the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, also known as North Korea, a totalitarian communist dictatorship, and the Republic of Korea, also known as South Korea, a capitalist liberal democracy.

So basically being as America is Capitalist, we're trying to force North Korea to be Capitalist like South Korea is, BUT North Korea is happy being Communist. This war's been going on for a while, this happened around the time of the 'Iron Gate' I believed they called it. Not sure, we went over this in History last year, pretty awsome stuff to learn about (When you have an awsome teacher of course :P)

And I was laughing at the way you worded it Kijuki, cute  :jest:

politically speaking you are right, idealogically speaking America is supposedly trying to make the world better, by getting rid 'nonworking' philosophies.

The samurais *were* angry swordman dudes XD with ravishing techniques like genpuppa, and renkihuken. There were also interesting politics in it as well; they had clans as well as clan leaders however as samurai dudes they had the emperor (or shogun )be their priority.

See i know history :P i can participate in th thread XD

No the people of North Korea isn't happy being communistic. They're starving because the government's using all the money on their nuclear project instead of using it on the public ('cause that's what communism really is about). Also officially in North Korea, when the former dictator died, all animals cried and a thousand pigeons flew his body to the heavens. Ridiculous stuff really.
As in the middle-east I'd say that the western companies should just keep out of there if they're not welcomed. But no, the big multinational companies just have to squeze money out of everybody.*stares evil at coca-cola*

BTW it's called the Iron Curtain.

Thank you for the correction, ^^. I don't understand why they don't just rebel then...instead of helping the communist team, they should rebel..I mean there's more of them then there are communists...BUT then again, North Korea are farmers right? So that's like all they know...I might just be confusing the farming part for Sout Korea, so if I am someone please correct me.

Whaaaatever Kijuki, you were watching the last samuri again weren't you :jest:

what exactly DO they farm? o.O And I dont get the animal thing: i am sure the free bird dont half a damn of who dies. Yet alone a communist leader.

Or maybe they are experimenting with birds and making all mutantegeous.

ppl are afraid of rebelion, society is afraid of power. That's why you need activist, who would be killed right after standing up.

If they are farmers all they can do is grab pitchforks and fork it, but in the end nothing changes, xept the life count. That's why at times other countries who know this step in... well i should say the US not other countries

Peasant revolutions can work and they have in the past. The only problem is that the peasants are ill-educated and are usually led by a whack job. Look at China. The peasants actually took the country, and then Zedong (I think) took power as head of em, then converted it to communism, and turned China into a mini USSR, nukes n all.
