1) Download an emulator
2) Download the ROM for the game you want to rip from (we cant tell you where to get them, they're illegal)
3) Get to the part of the game you want to rip from then push Print Screen to take a screenshot
4) Paste the screenshot into a paint program
5) Edit for use in Rm2k(3)

alt+print screen, I remember why you need to push alt: So it copies just the one screen and not EVERYTHING around it.

not f12, the thing just to the right of it.

Oh and ZSNES is the preferred emulator for ripping SNES sprites, and use the smallest video setting, it's what I call Truesprite Size.

And in gameboy/gameboy color/gameboy advanced, select 1x video size. Same reason as before, so you don't get ugly oversized sprites.

I accidentally ruined my version, now do you know a link to it?

The ROMs are only illegal if the user doesn't own the original cartridge/cd/whatever of the game.
Which means I'm getting myself into trouble!! ARGH!!!!
*runs around to find original Japanese versions of FF ROMs*
