Almediaboo, calm down, jeez. It's okay to have your own view, and you make some good points, and it was even deserved with the insult to Brazil, but I thought foreigners were supposed to be more reasonable than us dumb Americans. :D

Quote
How far do you belive that, really? If States were really fighting Al Qaeda, wtf did they give the ******* nuclear bombs reason at first?

Mainly because we were afraid of the USSR and didn't want them to spread their evil communism of doom anywhere, including the Middle East. Al Qaeda were against the USSR interference in the Middle East, and we supported that. *shrug* That was the reasoning at the time.

Quote
I respect but, mostly, feel pity that these guys really belive a cause that is untrue, and they do it cause they were obligated to belive it because of the god damn USA ideology!

You keep refering to this USA ideology. I really have no clue what you're talking about. The US is a mix of a bunch of different people. The problem is that, unlike most other countries in the world, our culture is the result of a mix of many cultures. You can't really label the entire country as a single mindset, especially since we only have a say on who makes the decisions - sometimes those that we want only agree with some of our views, but not all of them. So we elect someone who will do part of what we want but not all of it.

Or we elect someone who, although they're bad, they're better than the other choices we're given. Not to mention the power of majority - if one half of the nation agrees on something, and has a slightly bigger amount of people than the other side, than all those opposed get left in the dust. Then we get labeled by people from other countries, when many of us didn't want it in the first place.

Hence, I believe it's unfair to talk about this American mindset when many Americans don't have that mindset - we're just victims of a system that is currently displaying it's downfalls rather than it's benefits. I mean, look at President Clinton - despite a nasty sex scandal, it is generally agreed upon that he did some very good things during his term and had a good approval rating. And back then there were those that didn't like him. They were the minority at the time, and thus they weren't heard. Again, it is this system that makes it unfair for you to label our entire country. We are not a single culture, but many. It is your responsibility to recognize these different cultures.

If it is the laws and your government that makes all this image grow stronger, what do you think you have to do next? Grow up to be another suburb dweller, in your all-houses-looking-the-same scratching your butt and reading the papers that tells you lies? Or should you recognize all those mistakes and do your best to get up there, in the ****** up DC and do the possible, and impossible, for your Country to sign a protocol that, CHRIST, does only aim for something that belongs to the humanity????

As idealistic and awesome as that sounds, many people, myself included, find that we don't have the interest or the drive to fix political problems, as they aren't our interest. Sure, it sounds ignorant to willingly accept what should and possibly could be changed in our government, but it is far more effort in a field I'm not even good at, when I could start affecting my life more directly by persuing my own interests, like programming or art. It's not that we sit in our identical suburbs, reading false political literature and believing it absolutely. It's that we live in our houses (they're not all alike, you know), do the things we enjoy, work at our jobs, and sleep at the end of the day. You act as if we are obsessed with our government. And, in your view, you might think that we should be. But to most people, it is a world they would rather not meddle in.

Apex:Notice how all of these "Discussions" always turn into Arguements?

Before Charas is one nation torn apart, why don't we just find a common ground for everyone

If we all agreed on everything, life would be boring. The light fighting is what keeps things interesting. :D

HAH! Except for the perverted male population, the degenerate youth obsessed with technology to an unhealthy level, and the habit of schoolchildren to shove their fingers up the butts of large black men. Not to mention the crowded streets and diagonal crosswalks, the poorly translated English and the subtle sound-based Japanese.

For what will hopefully be the last post arguing the current topic, many people in and out of the US don't agree with Bush, his actions, or his political planning, but not enough people can do anything important. The people are not at fault (unless you feel that those bought votes and percentage who truly voted for him count, but honestly, I don't care. Shut the **** up about that), so blame the US government, not the US. Or the soldiers, because, whether or not you agree with their reasons for fighting, at least they're willing to put their asses on the line for their beliefs. If you felt that strongly about something, you'd fight just as they do. American soldiers and politicians are making one of the largest impacts on the world (be it good or bad), but there are a few good things that are done. Criticize them for their faults, complement them for their victories, but don't generalize. And for God's sake, shut the **** up with your arguments, conflicting veiws and personalities can only lead to flame wars and roused emotions that lead to hate, discomfort, and general static among forum-goers. Enjoy the thread, but stay on topic to prevent heated conflicts that are just as ignorant as the people in charge of my country's government. And lastly, I'm not a voting kind of person; voting is just too stressful these days, so there's no way in hell that you'll ever see me contribute to the corruption and poor judgement seen in todays government when I reach the voting age. I'd rather just sit back, watch the world fall apart before me, and laugh, knowing that I was the one who saw it coming.
Wow.
In hindsight, I realize that this post could use revising, huh?

Okay, I wonīt answer all that cause many people wrote many things and I just woke up and I still have that morning goo thing in my eyes, so I canīt read that well.

But there seems to be a terminology misunderstanding here, that I belive to be caused by that fact that I'm not native english speaker.

Here we have 2 kinds of entities, that are separate (this' stabilished by law, but itīs reallly a mere concept). We have "physical people", which are us, the people; and juridic(?) people, that are something like a fake personality tht law gives to special entities: private societies, foundations and the countries.

When I say USA I never ever mean itīs people. You guys said I do. I know that not every person in Brazil is corrupt, still I can say that Brazil is a corrupted country. By USA you have to read "international behavior" of the country, that can have nothing to do with the  physical people! Osmose, for example, didnīt steal the pen from the embassador's hand so that he didnīt sign the Kyoto protocol! Thatīd be funny/absurd1!

BTW Osmose, the idealogy I mean can be describe by: military strengh pwns j00.

You can say that. Like, the USA will is shown to the exterior world by the government's acts. The government's acts almost NEVER correspond to the people's will right? I never belived that you american people could really want war, in any level, cause thatīd be absurd, since Iīm talking to well educated and reasonable people.

In other hand, I canīt say much about the USA government, simply because I donīt live there. But the belicist and intenventionist posture that has been shown during the past years canīt drive me to another conclusion other than that the USA is playing their cards too high agains an entire world, showing little worry about the future.

Woah woah woah...lemmie correct that, cause you'd be surpise of how many (excuse the term) dumbasses wanted war. They actually attempted to take out "French" from french toast, and french fries  :jest: just cause the french refused to get involved in any war. People went around attacking muslims or anyone else who looked like they might be from Iraq in hopes of 'doing' something to help out. It went from beatdowns, to break ins, and so forth. It happened for a while, now you don't hear about it anymore. It's like, during the 'hype' of the war..in a way, America turned into a sort've mob and went around taking justice into their own hands. But then after a few years, most people came to a realization (thank god) that their actions were wrong. Stuff like this happens, the government takes action while the mob is confused. None realizes what's going on until it's almost to late.

Geez relax crazy americans.
Just 'cuz your economy might decline in the future doesn't mean that you'll be harvesting dirt and eat trash. It's actually happening often, Germany recently suffered an economic decline and it's happening in France right now.
And BTW I don't give much for those kind of apocalyptic prophecies. People make statements like this all the time and the source isn't reliable at all.

It's not a problem of Americans not being able to understand the concept of the government being different from the people. It's that you keep attacking us, the forum users, by saying how bad our government is. It seems to me that you're the one who doesn't know when to switch between the government and it's people.

But youīre given the right to refute what Iīm saying right? If it is true, you can agree, if it isnīt, you can disagree.

I exposed the concept simply because itīs not the same way everywhere, specially when Brazil's law comes from the Roman law and ther US's law is Common Law. I didnīt say you americans donīt get it, did I?

Not just that, I already said that I speak about the things that have been done by your country, not you Charas people that live in USA. Unfortunately that affects your patriotic feeling, and thats unevitable because, like it or not, your government is treating the world like **** and youīre the one that look out bad! So itīs up to you to go against that by, at least (in case you donīt like politics), voting right! And gong to the streets for the things you belive.

Actually, the French didn't want to expend anything for the coalition, but they wanted to reap the rewards after it was all said and done.

LOL, yeah but it's still amusing that people went around saying **** THE FRENCH! and actually attempted taking french of of toast, omg XD

WAAAAAAAAIT, Almei I'm going to have to go against you on that one.. Most of us who are smart enough to vote are underage not only that.. but the last election (was it? Correct me if I'm wrong please) in florida, over a million 'minorities' or black folk were prevented from voting. Lol, and nothing was done about it XD They waited in line forever, and did  not get a chance to vote..I know because my best friend's mother went to vote down there, and they actually stopped her for whatever reason I dunno. This has people in my school thinking there is no purpose in voting, since it doesn't count. But that's how we feel...woah, 2008 is gonna be amusing..

Hilary Vs. Diddy!

I can't wait!!  :taunt:

That's absurd! Voting is a Constitutional right in the USA isnīt it? WTF, how did they not let you vote?? How come no one did nothing??

I didnīt say americans ainīt smart to vote right, or even to vote! I said: VOTE! Because itīs your chance do make it right! Or at least fight for what you belive and change whatīs been done! Do not stand still while you see absurds like that happen. Do something to end the war. Do something to end the image the USA has on the world!

EDIT: Oh, BTW, many will say iīm a idealistic and call me utopia-man. Yeah, Iīm all that, but as long as people think that ideals like that are utopia, all will remain the same. And we will perish.
