One more reason to hate GWB, and one more reason why I want to move to Europe/Japan

That's why there's an economic cycle. EVerything in the world goes in this thing we call "flow." You can't prosper for too long, nor can you stay at the bottom forever. There will always be a fluctuation in the economy, no matter where you go. Japan has one of the best economies, but look at what they do. Eventually their era of prosperity will be ripped asunder and they will fall into decline. Things recess and things recover. It's not something I'm happy about, but that is how it works.

Heh. I'm not the only one who saw this coming, at least. Since I was five, this kind of thing has always been at the back of my mind, but once I hit eight and actually understood how it all worked, it moved its way up to the front of my brain. I want to go to Canada, but something tells me that they'll be in just as much trouble in the near future... Call it a gut feeling.

The american econemy won't fail that easy. Just because China is beating the US in some buisness areas doesn't mean squat. You can still have a very stable econamy and not being number 1. Besides, all of the top coorperations in the global market are american. Theres microsoft, IBM, Coka-Cola. Goerge Bush doesn't control the economy either, there are other trained people that handle all that crap.

The united states has a pretty strong economy right now, and it'd take A LOT to bring it down.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

You'd have to pay me rent. ;)

As Sonic said, the economy will eventually fall. It's all in the cycle of things. When the US falls, the center of the world will probably shift to Europe, or possibly China (depending on how things go), but it might not be a totally bad thing. Most big corporations are intenrational, so they would lose some money from the loss of States consumers but still survive.
