Battle event help
« on: July 02, 2006, 02:47:32 PM »
Can anyone help me make a battle event where the enemy doesn't really attack at all; one that is like this:

Enemy turn 1: Enemy is prepared to fight!

Enemy turn 2: Enemy is twitching...?

Enemy turn 3: Enemy looks paralyzed...

Enemy turn 4: Enemy looks like he's in pain...

Enemy turn 5: Enemy is loafing around...

And so on, until he's defeated. Can anyone help with that?

Yeah, that's relatively easy to do.

First, make a bunch of switch skills. Call them whatever you want, and make sure that the switches are all different from each other.

Next, give your monster those skills. You can set the preconditions as you like.

Now, in the battle event, make a page triggered by one of the switches. In it, put a message of whatever it's doing, and turn the switch off.

If you want them to trigger sequentially, then you'll have to use more switches, which are turned off and on when the skills are used. For example, when Switch Skill 1 is used, it turns a switch called Switch Sequence 2 ON. When Switch Skill 2, which can only be activated when Switch Sequence 2 is on, is used, it turns Switch Sequence 2 off and turns Switch Sequence 3 off.
