u know u shouldnt get all freaked out at people who post bmps and cover them with png. maybe they dont know how. or maybe their comp cant do that, ever think bout that?

PNG nd GIF rule! But I still rip things as a bmp then convert them.

I have an idea, start getting UFX, it's freeware and completely legal. It can save things as pngs among other formats.

hmmm.. since the dudes here are not big fans of JPGs, then i think we should stick to PNG or GIF..

JPG leaves artifacts. Only use JPG when you are using photos, not graphical stuff that need precission. JPG makes resources useless.

So do I, and of course, the default PNG savings in Paint are 24-bit.
