I made the pics of the planets. The particle mass galaxy is from a pic I found. Well, I actually found the picture of Earth just cause I don't trust myself to generate the proper placement of the masses and such, but I still added the shadow and the stars.

About the story, its actually a good thing it feels like an old sci-fi thing. It originally came about after I had a Dune binge (7 books in like 2 weeks).

Photoshop. I start with a 500 x 500 document in photoshop and create a flat texture, then 3D transform it into a spherical shape (Filter>Render *Only in PS7), and after that make textures, spherize and layer as seen.... Hard to understand. PM me if you need help.

PS6 has Spherize, Render, and 3D transform. To see if I understand what you mean, I'll make a planet.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!

Did you smudge it? Here, this is what I meant by texture.

And this is how I dimensionalize it, plus I added shadow.

Now, I didnt use 3D Transform, but spherize set to 28 twice.

No, I understand. I 3-d model as a hobby, but I never really used the render function in photoshop. Thanks, dude!

On-topic: I liked the map you put up, but the fog was a little strong. You might want to make it a bit more transparent, like 10% or so.

Also, my photoshop doesn't have spherize, or I can't find it. What heading is it under?

BTW, if you want flat Earth-like textures, use Google Maps.
