Use this thread to share ideas you won't use anymore or if you think it's okay if someone else does.
I'm not talking about plot ideas, that'd cut out the main reason to make a game. I mean ideas like itens, abilities, magic effects.
As an example, feel free to use the Monopolize Amulet X.
Monopolize Amulets are special kinds of Amulets that take away X from 5 of the 6 stats that a character have, and add 5X to the other. Hp stats are changed X times 100, and Mp is X times 10
As an example:
Monopolize Green 3: Atk-3 / Def-3/ Mag-3/Hp-300/Mp-30/Speed +15
Each color monopolizes a diferent status:
Red - Atk
Blue - Mag
Yellow - Def
Black - Mp
White - Hp
Green - Spd

Man, those are some crazy items, especially if you use the Mag amulet to beef up a mage or something like that.
Well, since I give backstories to most of my weapons, I suppose I can post some of them here.
Roto-Shield
Type: Item - Weapon and Shield Combo
Size: (Normal) 2' diameter, 5" thickness, 2" spikes
(Battle) 4' diameter, 5" thickness, 3" spikes
Description: This weapon was created by Tourauds Warxe, a novice mechanic. Though it appears to be a relatively simple weapon, looks can be decieving, as it contains several high-tech magitek systems that make it extremely versatile.
The weapon consists of a metal circle about the diameter of a buckler, and about 12 curved spikes on the rim. A joint on the underside of the shield allows a being with a fairly humanoid hand to grasp it, as well as putting the entire shield area on a pivot mechanism - with a simple press of a button, the shield will rotate at high speeds. The rotation ability is powered by magic energy, which is drawn from the environment, so it can spin for a fairly long time before stopping. When using the weapon, Battle Mode can be triggered - this effectively doubles the diameter of the weapon (increasing the protected area greatly), as well as doubling the spikes from 12 to 24.
Both the main part of the shield as well as the rim spikes are created from a speciality alloy created by the Tourauds family, and even the closest friends of Tourauds Modus do not know its exact compisition. The alloy is extremely durable, and can resist large amounts of kinetic force (it has been used to stop a speeding 1-ton vehicle without any harm to the user). As well, it contains a specialized Magic-Energy Core system, which gives it the ability to radiate different types of energy, thus granting an elemental affinity to the offensive part of the weapon as well as durability to that element to the defensive part.
The Roto-Shield is also lightweight and easy to manipulate - this was intentional, as Warxe is able to use psychokinesis, and several of his fighting styles involve using PK to manipulate his shield through the air, striking enemies from the side, back, or even from the top. An auto-rotate function allows it to slice through the air more easily, increasing the versatility further.
The weapon is still a prototype, and thus lacks some of the features planned for a mass-produced weapon - for example, Warxe wanted to allow the rim spikes to extend, but was unable to due to time and space constraints. As well, the Magic-Energy core is unable to project force fields, thus limiting its elemental protection to the user. But perhaps the biggest drawback to the weapon is its cost - it took Warxe the equivalent of about $23,000 to create the prototype, not including the ME core or Battle Mode systems. Though factorization would decrease the cost significantly, it would still be an expensive weapon, and any advantages that the weapon has over a sword and shield combo is negated by that point. So, it remains a unique item, usable only by a few.
Crystallinious
Type: Item - "Doublescythe"
Size: 1' handle with a 2" diameter, 2 3' poles with a 4" diameter, 2 5" spear-tops, 2 3'2" blades with a 2" thickness
Description: The Crystallinious is of alien origin. Somewhere, in the depths of outer space, a rather unique war was being held - between a once-peaceful race of aquatic sapients and a massive planet-devouring beast. This war had been going on for several centuries, but the entity had always been stopped at the last minute by the sacrifice of several hundred of their people. But in secret, the aquatics had been developing a superweapon, in which they hoped to repel the entity for good - a massive double-bladed polearm, created from the scales of the entity, and wielded by their greatest hero. Ultimately, using the weapon, the entity was actually destroyed, and the aquatics rejoiced - but a large void was left. Civil wars and political corruption took hold of the planet, and the great hero became a god of destruction himself, using the weapon to slaughter thousands.
Several of the remaining elders of the planet decided to kill the hero, and destroy the weapon. They accomplished the first task, but were unable to even dent or scratch it. Out of options, the elders decided to hurl it into space, hoping that whoever found it next would use it for more peaceful purposes.
The Crystallinious landed on planet (name), though in an isolated part. Using technology implanted in it, it warped the natural surroundings into a "shrine" of sorts, protected by several traps and a massive golem. also, after determining the sapient species of the planet, it converted itself into a form more suited to them, albeit not easier to wield.
The Crystallinious itself is an imposing weapon. Though it looks rather heavy and unwieldy, it is in fact extremely lightweight, and easy to hold and carry. This is facilitated by its ability to transform into a type of energy, which can be contained in a small jar, for easy transport. However, the weapon itself is extremely difficult to wield, as any kind of wrong move can result in the user being injured or even killed. Thus, only those with experience in weapons can hope to wield it effectively, and even then, few can use it to its full potential.
The metal rods which extend from the handle are made from a combination of scales from a massive creature as well as technology from a race of aquatics. Combined with tempering by (planet name)'s natural energies, the entire weapon is nearly indesturctible. The blades, made from the same material, are sharp enough to cut through solid metal, and never dull. In addition, the darker blade can tap into the user's life force, and transfer any diseases or ailments that they are suffering from, effectively making the user immortal. Several systems within the weapon allow the two blades of the weapon to rotate up to 180 degrees from their original point, extending the range as well as facilitating the spinning of the weapon to inflict damage. As well, a length of indestructible chain connects the rods to the handle, and this chain can be elongated at will (up to 1' on each side), giving the weapon both more battle range as well as a different style of fighting. Finally, with sufficient willpower, the Crystallinious can be converted into a weapon more suitable for the user, but it takes a great amount of will and energy to restore it to its normal state.
However, there are several major disadvantages to the Crystallinious. As has been stated before, the weapon is extremely difficult to wield, and those who aren't experienced in weapons training can easily kill themselves or others. As well, though the natural energies of (planet) have strengthened it, they have also corrupted it - it will only allow beings with a powerful will and a belief in their goal to wield it. As well, the weapon requires several types of energy to function properly, including life-forces. Thus, the wielder of the weapon must kill living things to sustain it, or else risk being killed themselves.
I'll update later with more weapons.
