I was wondering if I could make my world map by using a picture instead of tiles.I have a map that is drawn and want to use it as my world map.Can it be done and how.

You'd have to import it as a Panorama, then make the map large enough so that the entire panorama would be shown, and place non-passible events wherever you're not allowed to go.

But the map I'm making using Age of Wonders editor and I'll have to make screenshot of the map then paste and copy to fit the whole map together.Wouldn't that be to large for one panorama or can u have several panoramas at one map.

No, you can't use multiple panoramas per map. You'll have to make them into one large panorama, or make several different world maps.

You can always run your multiple maps through some kind of Graphic-program, like painshop, or even iDraw.....Reduce the size, so they come to a total size compatable for importing into your game.....


A big advantage of using Panoramic Maps, Ive found, is that you can layer on things like clouds as well, without having to mess around with pictures/overlays.

Panorama can be any size + 320 x 240 you just need to do the math each tile is 16 x 16 pixels
