Online Dating

Do you believe such a thing is foolish?

Have you ever online dated?

Did you and the person ever meet?

Did you and this person voice chat, webcam, email, ect?

Do you believe those who do it are idiots?

Should I even have made this topic?

As for me I didn't date online but my last girlfriend I did meet on myspace and we chilled at her house and dated some weeks after that.

Meeting summone online is no big deal if you go meet them almost immediately. If they live in Africa and you in Canada, don't even try. So yeh, if its seriously possible go ahead, if the odds are slim to none give it up.

Like he said.
I can imagine if you talk to them for like a year online and then finally meet, it would be somewhat awkward. Anyways, I don't see a huge problem with it. I would never resort to such measures though.

Yeah, I've never found myself desperate enough to date a chick online. Especially when there's plenty right here within driving distance. lol

Nope. All of 'em turn out to be men and/or child molesters. Depending on whether or not you are a child. Or a man. Or both.

Don't believe in em too much. You guys should watch the Online Dating episodes of Johnny Bravo XD. They always turn out weird.

I dated online for about 2 months, then I met him, moved in with him, from California to Kansas. Yep I took a train to go live with him, then we married and been happy every since. almost 2 years now.

I believe online dating can most of the time lead to bad mistakes, however in my case, I met my perfect match.

I was stupid, for no checking up on my husband before I took a train to his house, but Lucky he was as I thought he was.

Happy ever after does happen. ROFL  :corn:

Edit: Forgot to mention that we didnt meet through a dating service, but I met him from his older brother who was my Web host. Now I get my hosting for free, muhahahahaha!

Johnny Bravo ftw
Arcanagrrl, sweet. I'm sure there's plenty of happy couples getting together with online dating. I would be extremely cautious though :P

Yeah, I online dated with Desimodontidae. You all (should) know that...we met in person in July 2005 and I havent seen him since, which is pretty much why we split up. My dad kicked him out of the house when he was here, which pretty much ruined our relationship, and he left me almost a year later.

Will we get back together? Who knows? Maybe if he gets a car and actually *talks* to me. ><

I still miss him like crazy..=(

In most cases I'd say online dating is stupid. You never know who you're actually talking to or if the person you're talking to is actually who they say  they are.

One of my friends when he was 13 or so (before I had the internet), was 'dating' a person online. Except he said he was 18 and carried on a relationship with an 18 year old girl (or so she said) for a couple of months.

So if you find the right person online, great, but you have to be careful with who your talking with.

No, it could mean he's busy, or actually DOES have to wake up early, or is shy. Leave it to a woman to overanalyze everything to hell, though.
