Go watch old horror movies. Watch them, hit your head, say 'dee dee dee', look me straight in the eyes and tell me you found them scary. "The Monster From the Swamp!!!" "The Blob!" "The Vampire That Bites!". Bah, they've never meant to be serious.

 They were, at the time.
I bet you didn't find "The Exorcist" scary, but your granpa should've crapped his pants when he saw it.

Seriously, to me, horror movies should be scary.

I lauged at The Excorcist. I found it a good horror-comedy.

Horror

Main Entry: 1hor·ror
Pronunciation: 'hor-&r, 'här-
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English horrour, from Anglo-French *orur, from Latin horror action of bristling, from horrEre to bristle, shiver; akin to Sanskrit harsate he is excited
1 a : painful and intense fear, dread, or dismay b : intense aversion or repugnance
2 a : the quality of inspiring horror : repulsive, horrible, or dismal quality or character b : something that inspires horror
3 plural : a state of extreme depression or apprehension

I'm not on either side of this. Draw your own conclusions.

One of my g/f's is way too scared to see it. She wouldn't even see the omen.

Because you have the things of your generation. They didn't. I's like how Star Wars when it came out had "the absoulute best realistic effects". We see it now and know its a model. Each generation is different.

The movie sucked. Same **** as the first one, but not as effective.

Shifting to new movies in general and not just horror. I just saw the Presteige. That was a purely awesome movie. I HIGHLY reccomend this movie to ANYONE. I don't give a damn what you think, go watch this movie.
