I Kinda Like My School Now
« Reply #30 on: October 15, 2006, 12:19:31 AM »
I still hate the uniforms, and the IDs with the lanyards, but I like how the school is designed. We don't have just one big building. It's spread out into 20, and we've got over 2500 kids. It's pretty safe aside from fights, and we don't even have that many anymore.

There's a rumor about how there was a school shooting years ago, but the gunman could only shoot one person because it's so easy to get away. Plus, we've got lots of security.

Which reminds me. There are a lot of kids getting caught sneaking in the bathrooms to use their phones. They mostly call OTHER PEOPLE IN THE SCHOOL. wtf?

Last year we had 11 false fire alarms. A few days ago we had a drill for an armed intruder with a gun.

Locker checks are legal, since you're using school property. We're allowed to have cell phones in school, but if they're seen, heard, or anything that makes them noticable, they're confiscated. What the SEXUAL INTERCOURSE?! Why give out a privilege, but threaten to confiscate if that privilege is used?

Lol pre-censor!

Our security blows. Its a bunch of old men and like 2 really old ladies. I remember that the school principal was outside greeting people in and inside the building these 2 kids got into a fight. It lasted so long a student actually broke it up because someone was REALLY going to get hurt if it continued like that. Then afterwards security comes to walk around like they're doing something. Ah the securitY guards with the reaction time of the GODS.

Dealing weed in my school is like...not rare. I remember one kid got caught with Vodka in his gatorade bottle.

Vodka and **** happens here too. I knew a guy that mixed some scotch with his diet coke. I mean, it tasted like total ****, so I don't think it would have even been worth it.

I would advise him to POUR OUT THE COKE and then pour in the vodka. No dipshits at a school are gonna check what someone drinks.

Also, kick the crap outa that retarded freshman. I mean come on, that retard needs punishment.

Good idea, except scotch does look like diet coke, and teachers will actually smell a bottle if their suspicious. It happened in health one day. Guy had bottled water and vodka. Teacher knew and sniffed it.

1. Vodka is pussydrink.
2. Why would he drink it straight? He's a highschool douchebag who clearly has no experience with drinking.

We're American. We drink to get drunk, not to enjoy it. Not me though, I don't even drink beers. Ales are better.

Holy charmap, Archem.

Last year some girl got caught with vodka in a waterbottle. Other than that there hasn't really been a problem bringing alcohol into school.

Our APs are mad awesome. They actually do stuff and do it well. They're like ninjas.

My school says stuff like "No visible cellphones, no iPods, no Gameboys, etc. etc." But it's usually up to your teacher, and my teachers don't really care as long as work is getting done. I can listen to my iPod in Physics as long as I'm doing the worksheet.

It used to be like that for some of my classes, but since they're cracking down on the rules, if word gets out that a teacher let us use a cell phone or psp or something, the teacher will get in deep ****, where as before, they may have just got a warning or something.

And we can bring coats to school, we just have to keep them in our locker all day. That part really isn't that big of a deal for me, but a lot of people like to wear their coats around school (we have a lot of hicks that like to wear their jackets around school), and yeah, they can't do that anymore.

Lets just say that sometimes our heating system doesn't work too well. Some of our classrooms, such as our chemistry and pysics classrooms, were added onto the school after the school was built. THey're just sticking out there, and they can get REALLY cold. Some of our classrooms in the math wing (oldest part of the school) and some upstairs don't really get heated well either.

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

Teachers sniff your drinks in America? That's gay. I don't think they're even allowed to sniff your drinks here.

Time to switch schools?

Is it true you can't choose your school in the U.S. unless you move?

We had a lock-down the other day, but it was only a test. Basically, we all just ended up sitting in the corner with the lights off and talking about random stuff, since the lockdown took about an hour out of class. Someone asked "If there are twins that aren't born yet- can one of them eat the other one?"

Sad thing is they were serious.

Yeah, but anyways, I think the fact that we have to practise what to do if an armed maniac shoots up the school is pretty sad. But maybe it's what we get for not having air-raid drills. It's a funny time when you start having to have tests to protect you from your own people.

Sorry but I have no sympathy for that point. When you're at a school that makes you wear a skirt in the Canadian winter, then you can complain. It takes me an hour to get to school, and I'm doing it in knee-socks. So  I win.  ^_~
