(OCC: Sorry, long post, gonna let this part of my character's story clear now... allrighto? :D)

BIC:

"Perhaps they make new lenses with glass, who knows..." said Anyan as he entered the room. He knew his scream was heard by Ragnar.

"Don't worry old man... same dreams as before, remember? And speak of the devil, I have to talk to all of you... too bad that Saine isn't here." he said.

Liara, Alziel and even Ragnar gave Anyan a puzzled look.

"Do you people remember how the dark sprite lifted me with her psionic powers, and said that I had the eyes of a Resurrector...?" he said.

The three of them nodded, while waiting him to keep talking.

"Well... that is true. There is a story behind this, and many things to explain..." said Anyan.

Ragnar, Alziel and Liara were speechless. Anyan possesed the power of resurrection...

"I had a girlfriend, about two years ago, I was 21 back then. Her name... you all hear it, was Delliah, she was a powerful priestess.
I rember her kindnes... her strenght... but also her eyes. Those shining, red eyes. Now tell me, which normal human has red eyes?" said Anyan. He talked with his usual, cold languange, almost as low as a whisper.

Liara stared at him and said: "A resurrector, I guess..." she said.

"Indeed..." said Anyan. "But do you all know how a resurrection spell works? Or how does one get it?"

"I guess that the answer is no, right?" said Ragnar. He stared at his young friend, with a look that wasn't Ragnar's usual cheeful look. He was now studying the situation.

Anyan didn't answer. He took off his cloack and armor, showing his chest, full of scars.

"One day, as I said, two years ago, I had already learned about my father's dissappearence... I was walking with Delliah through the forest. She was trying to cheer me, and heh... she was achieving it. Suddenly, we were ambushed. Totally outnumbered. I had a sword, and I fought against the men, they were hooded. Suddenly, I discovered an old friend, Klerr, the ambusher's... were the King's crew. This part, you already know it Ragnar." he said.

Then, Anyan started to search through his scars, and pointed one, a specially coloured one, on his chest.

"This scar, was made by Klerr. It missed the heart by little. But it was enough... I was killed by this scar..." said Anyan, with a naturality that could scare a nigromant...

"Impossibble..." said Liara again. Alziel stared at her, then to Anyan. "So, you'r etelling me you were revived..." said Alziel.

"Yes..." answered Anyan. "Only to find my loved one dead, at my side. The reviving spell... it is called Soul Exchange. There is no way to trick the forces of death, to bring someone to life again, only a nigromant can almost achieve that, but that magic harms the soul, and makes the resurrected one become an undead. The Soul Exchange is... basically that. The caster exchanges his soul for the soul of the loved one."

After saying this. Anyan's look was changed. Alziel, Liara and Ragnar could tell. His cold look was changed by a sad pattern on his eyes.

"Delliah died... to save my life. I was dead, and she gave me a new life. But also... the Soul Exchange makes  the resurrected one gain the Soul Exchange spell. That is marked in the eyes, the red eyes... The Resurrector's eyes..." he said.

There was a small silence, which was broken by Anyan again.

"Before you call me an egoist or anything... I couldn't revive either Monty and my father. In order to cast the spell I must recieve... some kind of sign. I don't know what that sign is, but it named a 'Call'. After that Call, I can choose to either make the spell, or not do it... but they say that every Resurrector has casted the spell..." he said, then caught a bit of breath, and started again: "That is my secret... I am sorry for keeping it to you... but I had to. I couldn't trust all of you until now..."

The silence was unbearavle. Anyan put back his armor and cloack, as he waited for a reaction.

Alziel frowned and kept silent. He had no idea what to say on this issue. It was strange how this had all happened at once. Monty, Abell, now this. Certainly things were being revealed on this continent.

There was an awkward silence. Anyan sighed and shuffled off back to his quarters, leaving Ragnar, Liara and Alziel alone in the room.

"Of course I knew already", Ragnar said solemnly. "I said nothing because I didn't feel that Anyan would want me to speak before he was ready".

Liara nodded. "We understand", she replied quietly. Ragnar nodded, and he too exited the room.

Liara was now looking expectantly at Alziel. He shrugged his shoulders. "What?".

"You're thinking", she commented, "You're thinking of a plan, I'd guess".

He nodded. "Well, I was going to gather everyone together before I said anything". The others must have heard him, since slowly all of the group entered the room. Anyan was the last to come in. Liara nudged Alziel's arm and smiled at him.

"Well", he said, clearing his throat, "I've been thinking. This "battle" is going on to the north of here. But Ragnar, I borrowed your map, and to the west of this town is some kind of small forest. I say we ought to skirt around the town, go west far enough to avoid the conflict, and decide where to go from there".

"What's our destination?", Saine asked.

"Well", Alziel continued, "This map is only partially complete. There are a lot of gaps. I've noticed this large one here" - he gestured to the map - "Which is northwest of this town. We should go there and try to fill in the blanks, per sé".

Saine nodded, and for the first time since they had set off from the coast, said "Good plan".

"There's just one problem", Alziel said, lowering his tone. "Abell is our guide, and she insisted that we should absolutely not leave this town until the danger has passed. The way I see it, that may take some time, which we don't have. We need to convince her to help us".

"Won't be easy", Saine murmured.

"Last chance to buy any supplies", Alziel said to the group. "Me and Liara will go to see if we can find Abell nearby. The rest of you have until we return to do what you need".

He sighed, pulled gently on Liara's sleeve to beckon her to follow him, and the two of them left the Inn.

Abell Watched, with puffy eyes the gnomes skittering about.

She did not want to stay in the underdark. This was foreign land to her. It was cramped and musty.

She had nowhere to go, except for back to her quarters.

"I will not stay underground for long.....But I cant exit through these doors....they are sealed now until the battle is over..."Abell thought to herself "But If I can get through the lair, I can exit to the southwest of the town...But...If the beast wakes up..."

Abell shuddered at the thought

She cleared her mind, and stood up...and slowly, and heavily footed, stumbled wearily back to the sleeping quarters...

"Old man, I'll be leaving to see if I can get more stuff. I guess that I have some things I can sell..." said Anyan to Ragnar as walking outside the quarters.

He felt confused, but a bit relieved of saying that to the others.

He saw something...

"Abell...?" he said. He could see the tall elvish woman walking to her quarters.

"Abell!" he called. She saw him.

"Both Alziel and Liara are looking for you... Is something wrong...?" said Anyan.

He could see Abell's sad look.

"Nothing is wrong. Abell is...sick. Thick underdark air. Hurt Eyes...
Let us go talk to the others, if they are look for Abell"

Abell motioned for the two men to join her in finding the other to conference about a plan to escape the underdark

"Abell has much to discuss. Abell knows a way out of here, that will help avoid the battle....The bugbear Lair....."

And with that abell kept walking

Liara walked out of Abell's quarters shaking her head. "I thought she said she slept here, but she isn't right now."
"Where then?" Alziel sighed. "I have no idea what she does in her free time."
"I get the feeling she wouldn't spend too long underground usually" mused the sprite. "she's used ot the outdoors. She'll be in the market where the ceilings are highest."

"Bugbear lair...? We'll talk about it back in the quarters..." said Anyan, as they went to Abell's quarters.

There, they found Alziel and Liara.

"I found her as I went to the market... she wants to talk to us abotu a route of escape..." said Anyan.

They stared to Abell, and waited for her answer.

"Abell not know what path you want to take. Can go through the underdark to far inland trade cities. It shortcut.

Or, We go through another tunnel to take us to the surface. Exit is away from battlegrounds, but we must travel through Bugbear Den to get to exit.

Abell not know if she welcome to travel with you all, but Abell has her home in ruin now. And I think you may need a.....translator?

If you are looking to map the land for your secret keeping king, you will want to go to trade cities eventually. But we can get there from overworld. It just a longer trip...And Danger from Illithyd And Ka-ala'd there. But Only Dwarves and Gnome comforatable in tunnels. Abell would just as soon leave with you."

Abell looked down, sheepishly at her muddied boots.

"And if we travel outworld, Abell can keep her Beast with her. Not have to find stables."

Liara sighed. Now they had to make an incredibly important choice.
"The overworld route is more dangerous in every way, right? The Bugbear lair or whatever, and then the creatures above. But... Will we achieve anything staying with these gnomes?"

Ragnar started thinking about the possible route. He seemed to be the only one who liked the tunnels.

"Damn! If we continue to go underground, we'll lose all the morale we have left. But the surface way is more dangerous." Ragnar thought.

So, Ragnar decided to speak:
"Well, both ways are dangerous anyways, and we'll probably make a bad choice. In that case, we should probably get going now."

"Yes, but where?" Anyan answered.

"It's not really important, since every way we take seems to be dangerous now" Ragnar said. "But we have to make a quick decission in order for that decission to be effective."

In that moment, Shell's frog jumped out of the old man's pocket.

"Hey, little one, come here" Ragnar said.

The frog moved, but not towards Ragnar.
Instead, it jumped through the room, towarsds one of the tunnels.

"Well well, it seems to want to go that way" Ragnar said.
"That tunnel goes to the surface"

Everyone looked at Ragnar as if he was crazy. He didn't seem to notice, he moved forward and raised the frog from the ground.

"I think I'd rather follow the frog on this one." Ragnar said.
"What, follow an animal?" Anyan answered.
"Why not?" Ragnar said laughing "He seems to be the only one who knows where it wants to go."

OOC: No problem, the "talking frog" thing is getting annoying.
I'll keep it quiet from now on, except for some ocasional "Ribbit" XD.
Sorry it took so long, I edited the post. I couldn't think on anything better, so I did what Moose said.

Sorry if I messed up, I'll be more careful on what I post from now on.

OCC: It got edited, so, let's keep moving on! Garh (?)

"So... you want to follow an animal...?" said Anyan again to his friend. He thought Ragnar had gone mad because of his age and the hard situation.

"But wait... it is wise to follow an animal's sense of instinct sometimes..." he said again. "I'd go to the surface, and be extra careful..." said Anyan to the others.

"The surface sounds better for me too" agreed Liara, "but we're definately taking a risk. What about you, Alziel?"

OOC: Oops, It's Stu, he hasn't posted in ages. I'll nag him, hold on.

OOC: Rofl, consider me nagged. xD

BIC:

Alziel frowned again. "I say we go for the surface".

Everyone seemed to be looking at him with more scrutiny now. They expected a good reason why.

"Because", he sighed, knowing the questions would come anyway, "The danger out there is one we can face. I've already outlined my plan. We go west to get as far away from the town as we need to avoid this battle, and then we go northwest to investigate the blank spot on the map".

Saine interjected. "I don't like the sound of this 'blank spot'", he said, shaking his head. "If it's not mapped it's bound to be dangerous. Am I right?"

"You may well be"

"Well then, are you sure it's the best idea?"

"Alright Saine, if you'd prefer to stay down here on your own with the gnomes..."

"I didn't say that"

The two of them stood frowning at each other for a few quiet moments, before Liara waved her hands in front of Alziel's face to break his glare.

"Anyway", he continued, "We can fight. We've fought those flying things off before". Saine muttered something about there being casualties every time the group fought them. Alziel carried on regardless. "We can fight them off again. We're all well-enough armed. Besides, the blank spot isn't far. If we set off at first light tomorrow and walk at a fair pace we could get there in the early evening. Then we could camp and keep a tight watch to prevent attack".

He rolled up the dusty sleeves of his overshirt and raised his arms above his head in a stretch. "It'd be better for all of us to get outdoors again", he added. There was a quiet murmur of agreement.

"So", he put finally, putting his hands in his pockets and giving a thin, patronising smile to Saine, "What does everyone think?"
