Anyan sat near his things, next to a tree, where he lyed, silently. What had happened to Shell? Something had pushed him to that choice, and that something should be dreadful...

"Do you know what you're fighting? I doubt it..." that question sorrounded Anyan's head for a little bit. He didn't care about who to face, until he had to face the King.

Anyan shook his head. He felt a bit cold... perhapst it was stress due to the last events. He stood awake for a little bit, but finally slept soundly.

Ragnar looked at Shell.... He was asleep and quiet.

Something bad had hapened to him... and he looked strangely similar to certain out-of-control wizards Ragnar had encountered during his work as a spy.
And his attack.... he didn't seem like himself.

Ragnar hoped it would be ok from the time on, and he sat down close to the fire and Alziel.

Then, Ragnar said the same thing he always told to his badly wounded friends:
"Hey, Alziel, you look like a million gold coins!!! nice to see ya up!"

Alziel laughed, and aswered........

Alziel smirked. Ragnar was cheery as ever.

He immediately caught sight of the man sleeping just over Shell's shoulder. Shell. Alziel sighed and tried to think of a course of action. After a moment he looked to Ragnar again.

"Ragnar", he said hoarsely, for his throat had become tight and dry, "When Shell is awake, and... coherent... could you ask him to come and talk to me?"

Ragnar nodded. "Can do. As for you, you should get some more rest. We need our leader on his feet".

Alziel smirked, though he doubted that with the way he was healing, he'd be back to health any time soon. Speaking of which. He looked past Ragnar again, to where Liara lay, still sleeping soundly.

Alziel smiled, and lay back again, falling into sleep almost instantly.

The night passed on quietly, as a breeze in a hot summer day, and the ackward group slept soundly after a long time.

The sun, shining brightly above a surprisingly clear blue sky, let one of it's beams of light hit Anyan's eyes, waking him up. The rest was asleep, so he got up and looked at the sky. "So beautiful..." he whispered, staring at the sun, with dreamy eyes. He took the bandana out of his head, it didn't hurt anymore, so he decided to wear it out. "It looked ridicoulous anyway..." he thought for himself.

After a while, he sat, near the burnt out wood. Would they finally leave if Alziel was better?

Of course they would.

But they had to go past that swamp. But something else bothered Anyan... that stone... that black stone.

What to do with it...?

Liara Stretched her legs and took a walk around the camp. The time was passing slowly.

The party members had entered an uneasy truce with fate, leaving the stone resting where it was and being quite happy to leave Alziel to the job of questioning Shell. Now Shell had woken up, and had crouched next to Alziel, talking to him. The others waited with an odd anticipation for the outcome. Would Shell say something that would change the direction of the journey? Did he have bad news, or helpful information? Where had he been all this time, and what had happened to him?

Shell walked uneasily towards the resting man, sticking his warped staff into the soil before approaching. He had never been good with words, particularly when it was vital to use them carefully.
"Good morning."

OOC: Post. Hope you don't mind me using Shell a bit, Jim. =]

Alziel smiled.

"Morning Shell", he said quietly. He sat up painfully, for his side was still injured and so tender that moving was awkward. He surveyed the camp. It was very much the same as it had been last night, but there was an air of tension now. It was as though everyone expected something to happen.

"Good to see you're alright", Shell said awkwardly. He smiled from the irony of it. He began as if to apologise profusely, but Alziel laughed and cut him off.

"Don't worry about it", Alziel smirked, "It wasn't you who did this".

Shell sighed and stared mournfully at the ground for a moment. "Why did you go into the forest?", he asked at last.

Alziel decided to answer honestly. "I don't know. Quite possibly for the same reason you attacked me". Both Alziel and Shell looked around nervously. It appeared that nobody had heard.

There was silence. Both men surveyed each other. Shell suddenly moved, and took something out of his coat.

"I found this. It's yours I think". He handed Leyland's hunting knife back to Alziel, who took it gingerly (moving his good hand disturbed his injured one, which hurt sufficiently to restrict his movement). He smiled at the gesture.

There was more silence. Finally the two men nodded silently to each other, and Shell turned and walked away to the other side of the camp.

Even if it was awkward to have him there, it was good to have Shell back.

It was a beautiful morning indeed. Anyan had walked a bit to end waking up, and then he was walking back at the camp.

There, he saw an ackward scene:

Both Alziel and Shell were talking, but they seemed to be more silent than anything.

Then, after a little while, Shell got up and went to the other side of the camp, sitting alone.

Anyan did not want to speak to him right now... there were too many things he wanted to ask Shell, but now wasn't the right moment.

He just went to his bag and sat there, waiting for the others to move.

Liara took slow, exhausted steps towards Alziel and sat down, closing her eyes.

"I'm glad that's over with. Did he say anything?"

Alziel shook his head. "Nothing unusual", he said softly. Liara was worried about him, that much was clear. He adjusted his position so that he could sit up level with her.

"I'll be better soon", he said with a smile. Liara smiled back.

After a moment, Alziel lay down to go back to sleep. He was already exhausted by the effort of sitting up and talking, and though he was too tired to think correctly, he was sure Liara stayed by his side until he fell back into sleep again.

Anyan saw Liara, sitting by Alziel, and staying beside him, and smiled. He felt happy for those two... Shell was on the other side of the camp.

What was this feeling Anyan had inside?

He rembered that fatidic night, in which he followed Alziel into the woods and had to fight a berserk Shell...

He remembered a brilliant light, enlighting the opath to were Alziel was... like some kind of...

"Sign...?" Anyan asked himself. There were things he begun to understand.

"No way... understanding the gods is not my job..." he thought, as he layed back at the tree, stopping his casual smile: "There were lots of people at that battlefield... Alziel, Shell, Abell, Liara and Ragnar... they all could have been in danger.. besides those men in black could have hurt any of them..."

Suddenly it came to him...

He had to warn the others.. they were being followed afterall...

OOC: Sorry for the delay. Computer a splode. Literally.

BIC:

Alziel sat up on his haunches and stretched. The pain in his side had gone, but it was still tender, and there was only some stiffness in his fingers.

Morning had broken. There was a layer of dew on the ground. The rest of the camp seemed to be still asleep, and there was almost absolute silence.

Alziel decided to test his strength. He sat up first, and then stood up as carefully as he could, feeling the stiffness. Finally he was upright, and he stood on his feet for the first time, relishing in his freedom. He took a few shaky steps around the camp, walking past the sleeping Shell.

Everyone was still asleep, and so Alziel eventually tired of his freedom, and sat down next to Liara to watch her sleep.

Liara opened her eyes a little. Morning had broken and the group would have been up and walking for an hour by now had everyone been normal, but the weeks Alziel had been resting had allowed everyone to relax.

"Hey" she smiled, taking Alziel by surprise, as he had been gazing around the camp and hadn't noticed her wake. "You're feeling better then."

Anyan woke up again. A beam of light entered his eyeball, as a new day had begun. He detected Alziel sitting next to Liara, but he didn't want to interrupt them now. It would be impolite of him.

But it came to him again. Those hooded men... he hadn't talked about them since the incident, because of him recovering from his wounds (though quite fast), and taking care of hunting without Alziel.

He got his bag up, his shield on his left hand, and put his belt on again, with his sword, the Viper on it's sheath. There was no time to waste.

"Alziel..." he said, getting close to him. He felt so bad for interrupting them, but it was important: "... we have to go. We are being followed. I know this since the day that..." he made a pause, took a deep breath, and started again: "... the day in which Shell came back to us. There were two hooded man hidden, I killed them both but that doesn't mean that they were the only ones..."

"Hmm?"
Liara gave Anyan a quizzical, but concerned look. "You got attacked? Why didn't you say anything?"

Ragnar got up.

He saw Liara, Alziel and Anyan talking, he quickly greeted them, and went into the forest to look for some water.

Ragnar silently followed a small and hidden path that he had discovered in the last few days, towards a small water current he had found.

As he moved closer, the forest turned quiet.
Ragnar didn't have a great knowledge of the forest, but he knew that silence wasn't a good sign.

Ragnar stayed quiet, waiting to see something.....

The noise in the forest came back, and Ragnar felt better.
But he didn't go forward, instead he went back to the camp as quickly as he could.

"There's something on the forest. I don't know what, but we need to be careful"

He said to the others after getting to the camp.
