title and music import problems
« on: November 02, 2006, 06:40:05 PM »
Ok, I'm having a problem with my title screen and music I am importing.

I imported them both and set up the database to use them as my title screen bg and title screen music.

The problem is instead of showing my screen, there is just a dark blue screen and there is no music whatsoever. Actually, NO music works with my rpg maker not even rtp.

Both of them fit the requirements but just don't work.

Any help is appreiciated.

To solve the first problem (blue title screen), click the "Show title" button. It's the second from the right on the menu bar, or alternatively, under the "Game" menu.

As for the music - go to the Volume Control (on the taskbar, or in Accessories/Entertainment in the Start Menu). Make sure that the setting called "SW Synth" isn't muted or turned down.

Alright, the title is fine now, but there is nothing in the sound control about SW Synth, I looked through the whole thing.

Edit: Oh I got the music workin', some of the controls weren't showing, so I enabled them all and unmuted all the ones that were muted.

Thanks :P

In the Volume Control, click Properties. Don't worry about the sound card (it's automatically set to default), select Playback, and look for SW Synth in the list of checkboxes near the bottom. If it's still not there, select anything with "MIDI" or "Synth" in it, max out the volumes, and see if that does it.

EDIT: I see. No problem then. :)
