I've seen the trailer before and it looks quite wicked. Though, if the movie is based on history, then my history teacher ruined the ending for me three years ago.

Its only loosely based on history. Its frank Miller dude...It will be rockin' and origonal. Its not like, Braver heart, or some other historical documentation. Its Historic Ficton.

It looks pretty basadd though.

(see how I did that, switched the conssonants around, to imply a swearword? neat, huh?)

Braveheart is a great movie.
And just use the bold code to get past censor.

Braveheart was good, yes.

Im just saying...Braveheart was a different premise. A Film recreation of a historic event

Where as 300...
Its not based on any specific nonfiction.

Braveheart was good.
This looks much darker though

Um, no. Braveheart had some historic truth, but for the most part, it's just as you said "historic fiction".

Point taken.

But the lead character was based on a real dude though, is what I was getting at.

Everything in hollywood is fiction to some point.

Weird... I just got the fourth Halo novel yesterday, and I was reading it, and there's a part at the very start where 300 SPARTANs die during a "successful" mission. I wonder if they connect somehow?

Well, its that one battle when a bunch of Spartans kicked ***. Howeverm as far as history is concerned, they don't know how many there were. Could be 300, could be 3,000 could be 3 million.

However, it does look awesome.

Eric Nylund. He also wrote Fall of Reach and First Strike (also from the Halo novel series). Why?

I was just wondering. If it was any of the writers that had worked with Miller in previous projects, it could explain the connection.

EDIT: Charaman...Yeah...Hence the name FRANK MILLER in the thread title. It says right in the trailer about that...

There was an older Graphic novel by miller when he was with DC, called "Give me Liberty" I think.....

That was awesome too

I think he meant that part of the novel was inspired by that graphic novel, not that the movie was inspired by it. Although it was... I can see the error you made.
