Project KKAD Demo
« on: December 03, 2006, 04:10:36 AM »
Ok, so here's a game I've been working on in my spare time for the past 3 or so days. I got all the basic **** down, so I thought, why not a demo?

About the game, this game is called Project: Keep Kids Against Drugs, or KKAD for short. You can select up to 4 characters to choose from as you ward off the influences of drugs around the city.

About the graphics/sound, all graphics besides the chipset were done by me... crappily. But I made it crappily for a reason. It follows the games theme =P As for sound, this is just a demo version. I haven't looked into anything for sound yet.

Things that will be in the full version
+Sounds
+Music
+Unlockable character/level
+Unlockable boss
+Slightly better graphics in some areas
+Possibly some animations and better transitions of items coming out of nowhere/enemies dying

Screens

Feedback wanted. Critisize, point out flaws, technical or otherwise, bugs, etc. Also, could someone help me with figuring out the "gamepack" feature. I thought there was a way you could play RPG games without RPG maker or the RTP, but I've tried it between my two computers and it didnt work. If anyone can help?

Oh yeah, RPG_RT file not included to save space, btw. 2003 version of RM. ZIP file attached.

Haven't played the demo, but those kids look like they're the ones on drugs.

Uhm... really? You gotta hit it after you hit "X" or "Space" or whatever you use as the action key to exit out of the box that tells you how to attack.

If thats not what you mean, idk what the problem is. The demo's ultra short, the game will be slightly longer in the full. Very slightly.

Yeah, it says hit shift, so I exit the box, then hit shift and nothing happens.

I downloaded it but there's no RPG_RT file. I downloaded it again to see if it was an error, but it still wasn't there.

Odd. I dont see any reason why it wouldnt work... Sticky Keys? Im not completly sure about them but I heard sometimes shift can be a problem if you have them on...

And drenrin, I said theres no RPG_RT, it takes up space. Just copy one from another project folder.
