If you ignore the kid it eventually shuts up. And slowly learns that crying doesn't do any good.

If you just give the kid what it wants, it learns that it can get its own way by crying, so it does it more, and it grows into a grown man who cries when he can't get the photocopier at work to work properly.

I know about taking care of children, and ignoring a child when it cries for nothing is the best of the options, but also talking calmly is another way.

If you yell, the child'll yell more.

If you beat the children up... you're a sick bastard.

If you give the kid what he (or she) wants, then you're just spoiling him/her.

So, the best option is always take things relazed, just plain violence or spoils will solve nothing.

Ignoring children lets them know they get to act like assholes with no repercussions, and they end up being socially retarded later on.
None of those options are really right. If your kid is crying tell him to stop in a strict way, and give them empty threats like 'no TV for a week'.

I'll be damned if my kid is gunna act like that. See, my parents hit me. What I learned was When I do *insert bad behavior here*, I get hit. Hit=Pain. SO I dont do it again. It works. Parents are pussies now-a-days.

uummm, I guess I would..........KICK HIM ACROSS THE PLANET.....ok, back to being serious, if a kid next to me was crying in wall mart, I would stare at him blankly, then walk away and go somewhere else(which is obvious I guess), that, or depending on how the kid cries, laugh.
