Picture to Charaset ( Sprite ) Converter? Help Please
« on: January 15, 2007, 02:18:26 AM »
1st off I wasnt sure where this should go but its more of a request for help if anything.

If this is what I think it is, its going to help alot of people. Unfortunatly its in Japanese & all I can understand about it is that it takes regular pictures ( example single image monsters for rpg xp ) & converts them to sprite or charaset sheets ( or dividers ). Would be really helpful to me to create new monster charas, because thats what I use for my battlers in my CBS. Could also be used for making new hero charas as well.

Looks like it works for rm2k but that can be converted to XP easy enuff.

Anyways heres the link, can some1 please look it over, tell me what I found & if possible convert this or at the very least show me how it works as is.

If Im completly wrong about what this is, sorry.

Nope didnt help. Any1 else have any ideas?

This would really make a great utility for alot of ppl.

Is there another way to make a single image ( like a XP Battlerr ) into a charaset. I havent found any program out there that can do this so is there any tutorials on how to do it manually?

No thats not what I mean but nice sprite.

What Im trying to do is, take a single image ( for example a monster that came with the XP rtp, the 2D flat image that is used as the battler, follow? ) & turn that into a sprite sheet to be used as a XP char set or sprite. This program supposedly does that conversion w/o any work at all but unfortunatly I cant understand or read it.

What Im doing is using a custom side view battle system (CBS) that uses chara sets ( the images you use for heroes on the world/town maps ) as my battlers also. The problem Im having is, there arent to many chara set or sprite monsters out there, as most monsters are rtp styled & just a single 2D flat image.

Nice work tho but not what I need. Thanks anyway
