Yay!
It's still alive!

In criticism:
The world map looks a bit dark, especially when compared to the indoor maps, and parallaxes

Sorry to burst your bubble, dude, but unless you are a whole games development company on your own, and a good one at that, you're never going to make a sequel worthy of the Final Fantasy title. Nobody is. I'm not saying it's because it's you or anything, I'm just saying that 'sequels' to RPGs often turn out terrible because the makers think that using everything from the previous game just with a character or two dead and a bunch of cliches will result in a good sequel.

Instead of using a Final Fantasy game as a gimmicky way of creating an RPG, be creative! Stand out from the crowd! I can see you've got a little potential in you. Use it properly, my friend. Also, you're going to want to fix up your grammar. Never make mistakes as blatant as "Hey whats up are you ill?" in a video game. It should be, at the very least, "Hey! What's up? Are you ill?" Even that sounds bland and inhuman.

I apologize if that post sounded harsh. I am merely trying to bring you away from the dark side the mainstream, if you see what I mean.

That are you ill thing wasn't meant to be proper, it was just a test lol. I've been working on this for a year and a half now, so I'm gonna stick to it. People just have a harsh view on sequals because there usually very poorly made. If anything looks poorly done to me I redo it :). Yea I'm gonna use stuff from the previous game, but I also make my own Final Fantasy 6 style chipsets, and charsets. Nothing will be as good as the original, but Final Fantasy 6 fans will for sure enjoy this game.

No offense, but your misspelling of poorly isn't very reassuring

Well, I'm glad to hear that. In fact, I'm glad that you disagreed and are persevering. My only advice would be not to try and clone FF6 just using a different, crappier storyline, because 1) you won't be able to and 2) people won't like it. Instead, give FF6 some sort of spin or twist, as it were (not necessarily in the storyline sense).

Good luck! I look forward to a demo!

I here you, and I appreciate the advice. I'll make sure I don't throw a crap storyline in it, that's why I redid the intro lol.

I see. Well, I'm very glad you're the sort of person who actually listens to advice, especially someone who's making an FF fan game/sequel (if you know what I mean). It shows that you care about what the players think, rather than what you think. Good sign.

Sorry 'bout the major topic kick but this game sounds freaking awesome. If you need any help on the storyline, i've played the origanal FF 6 and can really help you out on the plot.

P.S. Whens the demo comig out? I'm really looking foward to it.
