So if torrents die. Big whoop. It ain't nothin anyways. And in most cases a coding disaster. Have you seen the crap in the code?

Yeeep, I got something that will prove you wrong.
Go on Google and type in "Bit Torrents" and look at all the sites you Google comes up with.
So there's gotta be something to this torrent thing.
Also most really good torrent sites are blocked off to the public for such reasons as ISO HUNT but people still leak their **** to sites like ISO Hunt and when someone tries to download whatever it was leaked they get a registration error.
Direct downloading....
wait in line.....
if your comp shuts down you're not always able to pick up where you left off...
Can be slow due to multi people downloading.
Unlike torrents which can be faster due to multi people downloading.
(Depends on how far you are in the download)
There are ups and downs to direct and torrents and depending on what you want really matters.

That's why we now have Usenet.

I'm only using Bit Torrent to download my anime and Powerpuff Girls Z. Wait, that last one IS anime. Technically.

Didn't really prove me wrong, at all. All you said was what was mentioned. Speed relies on how many are downloading. And also if there is a seeder, so you may actually wait longer than it should have. Or if all people with the complete file are gone you may not ever get it at all unless you take the extra EFFORT to contact one of them, given if they have released any contact info. That is the major flaw in torrents. As for the download getting cut and not being resumeable... well... what are you doing while downloading? Hacking your computer? These things don't happen so often today unless you get viruses on a daily basis for fun. Many people today have broadband, me included, but meh.

And btw, I assume you use Fileplanet as an example of direct downloading, everybody knows that is a crap deal. When they became money eyed the world sorta suffered.
