Need help with RPG Maker

Anyway, I've been using RPG Maker for two years now, and in 2003 I came across an interesting problem that happened twice before, but went away after one day. I can't hear any midi files. Can someone help? I ran SpySweeper, and it's not a virus.

Either turn media player win amp w/e you use off and then test your music if that doesnt work then play the rpg midi in media player or w/e to see that it even works if so then test it in-game again...

Theres something else that can be done  that I read not to long ago had to with synthisizer or however its is spelled...

Yeah, I've tried that before, and it didn't work this time;
however, it did work last time.

Had a problem with not being able to listen to music not to long ago ....the only thing that fixed it was restarting the comp.

Check your volume and all that as well if you havent....sound effects work in-game?
