Gears of War
« on: March 17, 2007, 12:03:53 AM »
Anybody have the game?  It's loads of fun and definetly an awesome online experience.  The story is okay....not much to it, but the characters are very realistic (personality wise).

If anybody wants to play, my Gamertag is: SkyReborn

Best part of that game? The countless references to classic scifi stuff. The Kryll are from Pitch Black, the weapon jam is like that from Starship Troopers, etc.

I don't own it (nor the system), but I've played it.  Now, I'm someone who doesn't usually like shooting games like that, but this game was really fun.  The multiplayer mode was great, especially the chainsaw.

anyone else playing this? you know, besides the thousands of others.

I think the chainsaw gets old, when you're on the receiving end countless times.  The pistol seems to be where it's at though.

Since its the only game I play on a new age consoles (not that I'm any good, I just don't play many games)... add me. I'm GodKillerCanon.

I don't have a 360, but I played it.

It's fun--I like the gameplay, and the way that the screen changes when you run (very nice realistic touch). But why must it be so...viceral?

Nonetheless, it's fun. But I find that round-based multiplayer-style kinda...stiff...

I'll stick to Halo.

I love that game. Very much. I really didn't care for it before I played it, because everything felt so boring, but the gameplay sells the game. It'll definitely be one of the first games I buy when I get a 360. Too bad my friend's copy got the evil ring scratch...

Yeah the X-Box 360 is unforgiving if you disturb its natural place, wherever you had it set.  My friend can't play campaign mode anymore, but his versus mode still works so it's all good.

This is officially the only game I've played in a month, that month being March. Like 3 hours a day 2-3 days a week.
