Tell me a story
« on: April 09, 2007, 12:53:23 AM »
Do it. Tell me a story. Any. I've done this on other forums and it works out great. Just tell me a cool story that happened to you in real life.

From another forum and so far my favorite:

Quote
I was hangin around with some friends in front of a Borders bookstore at a mall tonight, and Jackie fuckin Chan walked by. I've seen lots of celebrities but that's the first time I was ever starstruck because I love the **** out of Jackie Chan movies, I'm a huge Jackie Phan. It was awesome, I shook his hand, the same hand that has punched and slapped thousands of Asian people! I hope some of his kung-fu rubbed off on me.

Anyway, yeah. Go ahead, post it up.

That's quite a cool story, Rev.
The closest I've ever been to someone famous was last month, when I went to the city to see some machinima thing.
For the most part it was pretty boring, because the best part was at the end. The last segment was hosted by one Gustavo Sorola, who went on to talk about he and his friends' company Rooster Teeth! Yes, the guys who make Red vs Blue! He does Simmons. It was awesome.
I would have said hi or something as I was leaving but he was already talking to some dude.

I saw Gene Simmons at Wizard LA, as well as the guy that played Booster on Battlestar: Galactica in the 70/80's. Lou Ferrigno was there, but the guy I was with sucked.

You basturds and your meeting celebrites selves.....all I get are visits from the cops...

Story: (First time cops werent after me...)

A friend and I was leaving from his house sometime around midnight to go to a party and saw some guy have a car at gunpoint... (Or so we thought)

But yea we were at a redlight and some car was stopped in the middle of the u-turn under LBJ across from us...didnt see the guy at first but we were laughing at the idiot  (cause some car behind him started honking for being stopped in the middle of the road) then some guy seemed to have appeared out of nowhere next to the right passenger seat with has hands up like he was pointing a gun at whoever was in the vehicle....

The light turned green, we did a u-turn to see if what we saw really happened, but when we came back all was left was the guy that had the "gun" running across the street...

Kept doing u-turns watching the guy and where he went called the cops and on the "last u-turn or wouldve been" we saw 5 cop cars going towards the guy then got a call form the cops to identify the guy...

But yea found out form the cops that the guy had told them he was kiddnapped/robbed from dallas and dropped off there....that and he didnt have a gun..... *sigh*

I sat next to Jeff Daniels at a school football game once. I didn't talk to him, but apparently his kid or the kid of someone he knew plays on my school's team.

I hung out with a comedian, Paul Tompkins once. He was the MC of the dog show in Anchorman, and the MC at the night club in the Pick of Destiny, along with a bunch of other comedy shows and stuff (I saw him on Too Late with Adam Corrola once and on several Comedy Central shows). He was at a comedy club I went to with my Aunt (Who's a comedian as a hobby and won some Comedy Central contest and got a spot on Premium Blend) and knew her, and we all sat next to eachother during the show. I learned from that vacation (She lives in California) that comedians are great people to hang out with, and most of the ones you see on TV aren't making a whole lot of money.

Once, when I was younger, a guy was killed outside the house directly across the street from where I lived. His brains were splattered on the ground. That neighborhood [STRIKE]sucked[/STRIKE] sucks.

Try it in 110* weather on pavement. IT HURTS! But it's fun :)

Being right at the front of the venue when seeing Mastodon a short while ago and being about 3 feet away from the band was pretty awesome.

We were at a friends house in his room playing games. Our friend who lived there and his gf were in his bed and we thought they were just being cuddly, she was on the phone and such. So my friend who is playing games jumps up on the bed and starts doing thrusts behind the guy in the bed though a blanket, and they both start cracking up. He stops for a second, says something along the lines of "Wait... are you? GAH!" and throws himself off the bed. Long story short, they were having sex. Funny times.

I drove down to jersey and there was a body sitting in the middle of the road. Like, the thing was actually sitting up! There was police tape around it and it ended up as one of many delays in getting to the MTG tournament thst I got third in. Go me!
