CRC 4 - Judge application and info

Okay screw this. Grandy made a good point. If you want something done, just do it.

So, I here present you the judge application for the Charas Resource Contest 4. And it will be an official one, even if I need to go trough hell for that.

So, what are the obligations and crap of the judges?

• Each judge judges every resource submitted for the Charas Resource Contest, from 1 to 10, with one digit. So you can give a 6 or an 8, or even 5.7.
• A judge may not participate in the contest itself.
• A judge needs to have done something for Charas, may it be writing a tutorial or contributing a lot. (Ex-)staffmembers automatically fulfill this requirement.
• Every different section is judged in its own section. This means that you judge each section as if they were contests of their own.

Anyway, I think the CRC should not have prizes, because it shoud be something voluntarily. I don't want to "motivate" you to sprite, you have to motivate yourself.

Each contest had taken about a month deadline. This time it's nothing diferent.

The theme of this year: the new Charas. This means you are no longer limited to the standard. There will be five categories:

- Charsets
- Facesets
- Battlecharsets
- RMXP Charsets
- Chao

The fourth one is based around the standard charsets. I will need to download the RTP (which is downloadable from the official site), and I will need to make a base for it. This is due to the fact that, for Charas 3.0, we need to break with the old promises and actually support the newer RPG Makers, especially now that you can buy RMXP legally.

The fifth one is to appeal a bigger audience. It will be based on the first two Sonic Advance Chao. I will also make a base for it. Seriously, there are base poses for Chao. I swear to god there are!

So, start applicating for a job as a judge. Write down what your motivations are, e.g. why you want to be a judge, what you have done to Charas, etc.

And Chao is a perfect way. They always have the same overall size, and they don't have additional poses needed.

I havent been a judge on charas before, but I have contributed a few things in my years on charas, like custom resources, addressing requests, made a tutorial long time ago on CMS map versions, and once worked for a team that edited Fire Emblem Facesets to match requesters charasets.

Humm I would have to say I get bored when I focus on one thing for too long, like my game project or other stuff online. Be nice to do something productive once in a while. I can be online anytime I may be needed or want to be on, and I love to help others all I can, even if sometimes it isnt requested of me to do so. Also, sounds fun...

Achievements:

~Submitted a couple resources on the main site
~Aided in helping others with questions or requests when I could and if no one else had done so already.
~Worked in a resource team long time ago for a short while
~made 1 tutorial to the best of my ability
~Post a couple reviews to some game projects I have tested at owners request

Sadly all I have been able to aid with on charas, hopefully if I get to be a judge, I can add that to something I have contributed to charas.

The main rules aren't set yet, so I can't tell you about any more in-depth detail on submitting and stuff, so it would be handy to check the old contests for that.

Okay, I'll let this run until 27th. For now, the only ones who applied are gemini and Arcanagirl.

I've also made a base for the Chao, but I'll need to work on the extra resources to see if it could work.

Nothing yet for RPG Maker XP though, if anyone would be interested in making a base, be my guest.
