Midi Program
« on: April 20, 2007, 05:32:21 AM »
I need a good (FREE)  MIDI program.  I'm making a japan style RPG (Think  Sword of the samurai  but much more freedom)  and I can't find any good MIDI's to fit the game...

I use Anvil Studio:

http://www.anvilstudio.com/

It's free. The plugins require payment, but they're generally unnecessary.

If you are new at making midis, Midi Maker is probably the best one I've ever used, Especially if you want to make a lot,
Just use this and Use Anvil studio to edit it a bit, (Midi Maker is pretty limited when it comes to effects, All tracks have the same volume) but that is something that you can go back and edit in Anvil...

Alright doodz, as it turns out, I've been looking into this anvil program, and I discovered that MIDI making is extremely hard and I'm very discouraged.  :(

any tips?

Take music theory at your school. If it's an offered class.
