The sounds that I have in the game were the best that I could find relating to old, NES ones. I didn't want them sounding too old, or too new either.

I have no clue why it is in that kind of file format. However, WinRAR should be able to unzip it regardless.

Hm... from the videos, this looks like something interesting.  I'll download it Monday.

I played it, it's better than original.  For one, the original *readies for pain* just plain sucked.

Congradulations, you made me like the dragon quest series a tiny bit more. ;P  Stats are very well balanced, sound effects are good IMO, music...its, well, considering the era of games your trying to emulate, it's great.  Finish the game or be destroyed. ;)

EDIT: and I DO mean, ALL of the dragon quests sucked.  Atleast the ones I've seen.

Can you upload a .zip or .rar file?

Yes, I do agree, the first Dragon Fantasy sucked hard. It was horrible. However, it set me up nicely for this one. I've learned from the mistakes I made and have improved upon them.  I thank you much for the download and the positive feedback.

I've tried to upload a new file, but it just reverts into the file it is now once I upload it. WinRAR should be able to extract it anyway, should it not? It works fine for me =

Winrar doesn't recognize it. Nothing on my computer does.

Well that's odd = My WinRAR can unzip it, and so can my friends. Apparently everyone else can as well =|

Well, things are running smoothly so far. I have added and taken away a few things. I am currently working on the second continent and the things that need to be done there. I've added battlebacks to the battles as well. Woot!

Here are some new screens:

A battle against Giruvegan, the boss of Mountain Tower.

The Mountain Tower dungeon.

New title.

Is there an exact reason as to why the dragon is named Giruvegan?

Not really. Might have something to do with the fact that the person who changed into it is named Giru...and that i've been playing FFXII as of late >.>'

XD!

I've already downloaded the game. I'll play it soon and tell you what I think of it.

One more thing. Why exactly are you using an lzh file? The only RPG Maker games that I know use this are Japanese.

No clue. When it's on my desktop it's a .Zip/Rar file...but when I upload it it turns into that. I don't know WHY it does, but it does. That, or it has something to do with the game it's self. However, WinRAR should be able to extract it (as I could..as well as most everyone else).

Oh, and there are no battlebacks in the "final demo" version. They will be in the final game, though.

This is if you are still reading this.

It's hard to say anything about this game. It uses an old storyline, classic graphics, and a preset game engine. I can't praise it, but at the same time I can't condemn it. The game is extremely consistent with it's style and atmosphere. It reminds me of FF3 for the NES back when I played a lot of Roms. I like your selection of music, as you have mostly picked my favorites.

My only suggestion would be to change the midi instruments. The instruments sound a little too good. They should be more bleep and bloopish. I also recommend that there be no more than three instruments per song. You've got the feel of a classic game.

WinRAR is the epitome of evil. It gave me worms twice. To anyone, use WinACE to open it. There is a 30 day limit to Ace as well, but you are allowed to download it as many times as you want. You just cannot create new files.
