It was alright, not as great as the hype though. It's the same as any other rhythm game, only with a different controller.
I don't own it, but my friend does, so I've played it a handful of times. I've never played on easy, skipped right to normal, and have only failed the first song that I've played. (Except when I play on hard and expert for kicks.) I'm not a huge fan of the song choice, I think that the first one had better.

I play occasionally, but I prefer other similar games like DDR. I'm not great at it, but when I get going, I really can't stop. It's pathetic.

Its an addicting game. Cool as hell. Im ok at it, I can do most songs on hard, but all my friends are a lot better than me. One of my friends has mastered it, he never misses a note on any song on expert. It's awesome, on songs like Jordan he just hits one note and hammers the next 100. He sold it saying it's not challenging enough. And he doesn't even play real guitar.

People who play real guitar say that this game is difficult in it's own way because it's a completely different style of playing. Although most people who play real guitar say it's easier to progress through the game. I have never touched a guitar (well I have, but I really suck... I'm a newb) and I'm doing well on Expert. So, it doesn't really matter if you can play or not.

Yea, I agree. Easy songs on real guitar are harder on GH2 (like Heart Shaped Box - Nirvana)

... I suck. I played it at a friends house... I could only do Bass in the co-operation mode thingy and the easy modes. Yet... I can play 2 woodwind instruments, a little piano, and I'm thinking about learning mellophone (brass -- marching instrument to replace the french horn).
My friend made me play it. I don't like to play it...

You don't like to play it because you're not good at it? Sounds kinda lame to me.

To AFL, get your friend to let you do tutorial mode. Once you learn the highest note rule the game becomes much easier.
I can do a decent job on Hard Mode now after practicing, but I stink at this one song. I think it's called "Someone's In My Room" or something? It has a long repetitive section at the beginning. Any tips?

Who Was In My Room Last Night? I think that's the name. I haven't played that song in a while, especially on Hard (haven't played on Hard since early June). I'll give you tips once I play it again.
EDIT: Okay, the best way to handle it is when you break off the GY chords, it'll be R-Y-R-G-GY... etc. The pattern repeats itself constantly. What you need to do is use 1(index) and 3(ring) for the GY chords and when you get to the red, release ONLY finger 3, and press the red fret with finger 2(middle). To hit the next note, which is yellow, just press it with finger 3, still holding down on green and red. To hit the next red, release finger 3 off the yellow fret. Then for the green, release the red fret. That's all there is to it.
