Couple Questions
« on: August 16, 2007, 11:47:58 PM »
Well I used to be on Rpg Maker 2003 but i got tired of it, I went on to XP but I need some help, i understand alot of it since the 2003 theres not to much difference but i do not understand the tilesets. here are the questions I have for it.

1] how do I make it so that some tiles appear over me like in 2003 u just have to make it that little star but I dont know how to in Xp.

2] In 2003 you can have forest + snow make the bottom of your character somewhat transparent when they walk over it. How do you do that here?

3] And What are auto linking tiles D:, Obscuring and Counter Top? D: D:

Sorry for all the questions but for some reason when I try to activate the help tile in my XP it just doesnt open whatsoever.
I really appreciate any one who helps me. Please And Thank You.

Question 1:
You need to set the priority.  (its 1-5)  I believe 5 is similar to the star.  I don't remember if it is though.

I believe you have to have a script to do #2.

Auto-linking tiles are just like the tiles in 2003 that link together.  (On the bottom layer part... where the water and such are....)

A counter top is something that if you have an event behind it, it will activate the event. (I THINK)

An obscuring tile (i think) is something that obscures your view of the character.

Wait are there any special codes to show the Heros name
so if you want to name ur characters ingame ? Like in rpg maker 2003 it was /h1 something like that.
