Laptops are great cuz they're moble. They're awesome for school and such since you can take them back and forth. They're even great for mobility around the house, back when i had my old laptop, I would take it down to the living room and lay on the couch with my laptop and watch tv at the same time. I got a LOT more work done with my game that way. They take up less room. You can take it over to a friends and play games over a LAN.

The thing is, desktops are a lot better than laptop, and also cheaper. For example. For a little over $1000, I could have gotten an AMD X2 6000+, 3 GB RAM, 500 GB HD, Nvidia 8600 (I think), which kills my laptop and actually a little cheaper than it.

I'm not a 'heavy' gamer, so I'd rather have the mobility. A lot of that is due to the fact that I have an hour or two in between all my classes at school, and a laptop that could leach off of my schools highspeed wireless conection would be awesome (I have dial up :( )

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN
