Before I tell you my thoughts, I only need to ask: What responses do you expect?

Let's start with this.

Osmose please don't say anything.   :)

Let me start by giving you some basic advice.
1.If you type your posts like that, not many people will respect you. Since this isn't IM or something, it's very hard to read.
2. Don't use a lot of smileys in your posts. They can really mess up someone with a slow internet connection.

Here's a better way to put it.

Is this game plot good?

There is a war going on between the "good guys" and the "bad guys." The bad guys are trying to whip out the an orb that controls time, and the good guys are trying to stop them.

You start with a villager who is attacked by some thugs. When he wakes up he is falling! The fall gives him amnesia! So he goes on a adventure to find out who he is!

He makes some friends and one of them is a lengendary warrior, and is trying to stop the evil peeps! When the "evil peeps" catch the warrior, you and your friends go on a quest to find him. However, some of your friends have some secrets that they perfer to keep hidden!

If you have anything that you would like to add to the plot then please tell me!

Your storyline is full of clichẻs. A clichẻ is something that has been done before, making the story predictable and boring. You already have a war between a good guy and a bad guy, amnesia, and your party members having secrets.

Some clichẻs are okay, if you are messing around with the program for the first time. Eventually, you will have to move away from them as you write more stories.

When you get on to making your first real storyline, here are some tips:
1.)Make your story unpredictable. You can use some clichẻs, but try to twist them into something new.
2.)Never create a good side and a bad side. Give both sides some good and evil. Make your hero and his friends have some problems. Give your villains some good qualities.
3.)This kind of goes for lilsniffs too. NEVER tell who your final boss is. He is usually the biggest surprise in the game. It's better to have a smaller villain who comes before the real villain.

Your plot could use some improvement. Listen to what aboutasoandthis has to say, he has some good advice  :)

I just figured out I did that, without even knowing. I also agree with Aboutsoandthis.

I tend to disagree with that point actually. There is nothing wrong with giving away your final boss when discussing your plot. When a topic is made to discuss a plot and get feedback on it, why not give your final boss? Yes, it would be a spoiler, but the point isn't to advertise your game here, its to get feedback, and since the final boss is one of the most important aspects of the game, feedback on it would be especially helpful.

When advertising a game your making, then I would agree never to give the final boss.

In this case Dragonblaze is right, with me assuming this is a first time story. Since he's asking for improvement, he really doesn't need to keep secrets unless he wants to.

I still like the idea of two villains though.

Well, in some cases, the Final Boss doesn't make an appearance until you get to him. Like in Final Fantasy 9, the final boss is Necron. You don't even know what it looks like until the fight starts.

OMG you just spoiled the whole game for me, you ***!!!

lol  :p

Anyway, yes, two bosses is a VERY good idea. The game would be dull and predictable if you have the same enemy the whole game.

multiple endings are sweet too.

what about multiple boss fights? Does anyone do that? like, different boss fights? or multiple storylines?

good luck with revamping your story kid.

If it helps, here are some tips:

- Choose a main character archetype, and expand on it.
-- EX: Zidane from FFIX. He's the typical fun loving hero. But he's also got the horrible unknowing past hero trait as well. He's a hybrid archetype.

- Choose characters that are not often cliche'd.
-- EX: In games, there's always the brave swordsman hero, and the feminine princess heroine healer. Switch it up. Make the main character a valiant heroine sword wielder and main the healer the mail with a sensitive side.

- Not all characters have to have bad pasts
-- EX: In FF9, before Zidane found out about his "real" past, he had a great fun loving life he normally wouldn't have traded for the world.

In my opinion, that's a bad thing. The villain is one of the most important characters of the story, and as such he should make regular appearances throughout the game.

(The ultimate villain of all time is Kefka, hee hee)
