Oh yeah?! Well DS gets... Final... Fantasy... Advance... T-two...

DAMN IT.

Nah, just kidding, I'm sure besides the inevitably BAD story, it'll be a great game too.

Square Enix has touched it. It is no longer good and pure.

The PSP GTAs are fun. Yes, they're not particularly original, but neither are Nintendo games, and plenty of people find them enjoyable. Same principle.

When Sony sort out their Online Downloadable Games thing the PSP will become infinitely more awesome. Hundreds of PS1 games available for download to PSP? Yes please.

I am totally getting FFVIII first. Then I don't know what.

Oh yeah, Digimon World. I don't care what anyone says, that game rawked.

I lol'd.

It's games like this and Jean D'Arc that make me want to get a PSP, but the thing is...I don't have much cash for it, and if I did, why shell out a few hundred clams for a system and two games when I can buy a few other games I've been dying to play for other systems?

Nothing against FFT--it's a legend--but I've more interest in the upcoming Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2.

Oh, and to the haters: I prefer a story of wonder and magic, along with a level-headed hero (FFTA) to an emo story (FFVII). 'Nuff said.

Now, excuse me: I need to go power-level a Mog Knight.

Nobody mentioned FFVII's story, and only one character was emo anyways. FFTA had a raunchy story, nothing more needs to be said, it was a complete flop compared to the first one, although it was entertaining and somewhat fun, it just didn't compare.

FFTA was boring... I won't get #2. My bro prolly will, but he got FFT for PSP.

FFTA failed in terms of story, but considering it was on a handheld console its gameplay was fun enough to enjoy on the move. Apart from that stupid "you're not allowed to hit the enemy" Law.

FFTWotL (Say that out loud. "Ftwottle".) looks like it should trump FFTA anyway. I want to get it, but unfortunately I'm already £10 in debt. Curses.

Also Djanki, FF7's story wasn't emo, it was just lame. Folks, before you reply to this, you should know I have my Flame Shield equipped and I have Magic Counter.

By what standards was it lame?

If you people don't appreciate a story such as that, then what the hell do you find to be a good story? I'm sorry, but you don't get much of a better story then Tactics VII and X.

for its time, ff7 had a phenominal story.

Characters were over dramticised...but that what happens.

The whole jenova reunion thing was badass.

As for psp.... DO NOT WANT
as for FFT psp.... CAN LIVE WITHOUT
as for FFTA... STORY WAS 4 KIDS BUT WAS A GOOD GAME, STFU
as for FFT2... WANT

You know, I concur with him on the 'over-dramatized' part..

But, still, wide-eyed curiosity FTW. I am sick of seeing 'children' like Kadaj in my Final Fantasy. Keep Tetsuya Nomura in shojo comics, where his artwork belongs...

(Casts Shell)

BTW: Apex, a good story has character growth and development, an involving conflict, and a satisfying end. Cloud's growth is...stunted, for lack of a better word, the conflict--while cool in its time!--is now pretty much cliche, and the ending was...weird. FFVII was great in its time, but enough's enough.

Now, back to the original intent of the thread: Now that FFT was remade, what of Tactical Ogre? A few of the guys who made TO went on to make FFT. Will we see another TO in the near future, I wonder?
