Some new Musical Experiments!
« on: January 21, 2004, 09:29:55 PM »
Long time i don't post something new.
I did some tests, would like to know what do you think.
These are not a "high quality" works, but can give the idea anyhow.

The first is a "medival dance" test, with 7 harps and percussions (harp played by me, of course! ;))
File here:
http://alex.ombra.net/musica/files/medieval.mp3

The second are 3 fragments together: unfortunatly for most of you the text is in italian :D
Anyhow, all played by me (yesm it's my horrible voice!), also the piccolo irish flutes at the end (that instrument is TERRIBLE to play).

Not really.
In Italian FIERA has two meanings: FAIR is one, but the other is BEAST, WILD ANIMAL.
The voice is creepy because the real meaning is the 2nd one.

The text, translated, is (more or less, unfortunatly in english it sounds a bit different):

******** THE BEAST (the Fair) **********

Within a heart, dark clouds.
Slow death will wrap eveything.

Slowly, the rock falls
it's the beast that will feast,
without any kind of morality

Where the beast will feast
is the cadaver of a city
eat greatness, defecate heresy
so there the beast, everything is mine!

On the wreck a big mess
the feast continue, there's no schedule
everyone wants at least a portion
the beast devour, civil is the fatality!

***********************************

There is a reason for this, a sad reson.
To know more, give a look here:
http://savevenice.net
and expecially to the image section:
http://savevenice.net/Venezia_gessificazione/index.html
and the video one:
http://savevenice.net/avi/index.html

My voice sounds creepy? That's true and right. I'm near to cry every time i walk in my City knowing what's happening, or even when i simply think to it.
It's Venice, my city and a World's patrimony, being DESTROYED. Physically.

I also thought that in mind, since "Fiera" also means "beast" in spanish, But I thought "Feria"(in spanish) was "Fiera" (in italian)....

Yeah I see, it is terreble to know that your native and raised place is going under terrible cirmcomstances...My feelings to you...

La_Fiera! Rocks! You mind if my band does a cover? My drummer's grandpa came from Venice, and my drummer is fluent so he or his mother could translate. But i really like that!

Edit: Sorry if this is a topic kick. I only heard it now!

A cover?
Wow, i fell like a superstar, now :D :D :D

If you'd like to, you're welcome: i write music (a lot, both classic and modern) but i'm alone, so it's hard for me to realize it.
The idea of being the author of song played in another place is so cool!

Like "I am mozart and you're Paganini". LOL!

Anyhow, if you'll do something, let me know!
I wanna hear it ABSOLUTELY!!! (and wanna the copylefts too ;))

And who knows... if your is a good band maybe we could do more in the future... who knows... :D

Edit: BTW, "la fiera" it's not finished yet...

When it is finished We'll do it again, but i REALLY REALLY REALLY like it. When we record it, I'll post it here, so that you can hear your own work, done by someone else. Most of the instruments will have to be rearranged, as we only have 2 guitars, drums and bass. But I think my guitarists could pull off the sounds, using their effects pedal.

Sorry, but i've never do piano transcriptions for this song.
I've not finished that yet ;)

Anyhow the harmony is quite simple (Am Am F G Am Em Am) if you'd like to create one.

BTW: just a small new, stupid, and horribly realized test.

The text is:

Charas
we're all singing for Charas
because what do we do want
is just a living tale

And the horribly realized test is here.
Have fun! :D

*GHOST POST*

Sorry to say, but that was... dreadfull...

By the way, if anyone is interested in doing the guitar piece for "I Know How You Feel". My microphone sucks, and I don't have a proper metronome.

The tabs are attached.

Oh, the beat is 80 BPS.

*END GHOST POST*

/me is not here...
