Not true. I listed my story as a feature in my description after I'd been working on my game for a long time.

though, I must admit, I'm not a fan of the story of this game.[/B]

I would've said the same to you. Listing a basic aspect of an RPG as a feature is not a very good thing.

@ Bug. Oops. I had a switch that fixed that problem, but it looks like I didn't allow it to turn on.

Umm...Sorry, But I added screens 5 DAYS AGO. Look at page one in the first post and there are plenty of screens. 6, to be precise.

When you're creating for an engine where the majority of stories are spinoffs of Final Fantasy 7 and/or the stories of lone badass merceneries who have to save the world from a guy who turns out to their father, it IS a feature.

That isn't really true, I've only seen a handful of those types of story in games.

This thing about the story being listed as a feature.  A feature is just an aspect of your game, so really you could list features like "walking around", and "saving your game".  The only reason we don't list these is because they are a feature of almost every game.  The same goes for story, every game has one so it doesn't really need to be listed as a feature.  We prefer to see less common things as features such as custom systems.

Anyway so i'm not completely off topic.

I havn't played the game but the story seems a bit random.
"You suddenly see a ghost" then you are "suddenly teleported to a castle" then you "suddenly wake up in bed" etc.  Try adding a bit more detail to tie these events together.

so I don't know if anyone else has even downloaded the demo yet, but I'm not able to do really anything in the character naming screen. I added an attachment.

so yeah, any advice on fixing that?

Whoa...that faceset needs fixin'. Also, that looks like it may be a problem with your engines, not his game.

And dude, the screens aren't impressive.

Well, I deleted the character naming, so now your characters is named "Adam" until I can fix it. And yes the demo is the fixed version, so there is no naming in the current demo. Hope this fixes your problem.

Also, It IS a problem with my game, not your engines. sorry.

Ok, I played through to the bit where your sister gets kidnapped and I couldn't do anymore.

There are too many things wrong and this is only referring to the starting village.

Bad grammar and spelling.
Some writing cuts off the screen (get guidelines patch)
You look fat from the side.
The birds move retardedly.
You can keep getting unlimited money off your dad.
Your brother looks way older than you and your dad.
You can walk through the outside of thehouse you find your sister in.
There are trees with half the trunk missing.
There are trees growing out of the rock path.
The area you swordfight in with the man stopping you can be reached all the time if you go round the side.
The house in the top right corner has no door before you fight your dad.
The charsets dont always match the facesets/battlechars well (spirit guards ugh).
Your head gets cut off if you stand at the side of your bed.

When I finished the spirit world bit i went back to the elder house and that cutscene started again so I thought **** this and closed it.

Please don't take this the wrong way I've listed these bugs hoping you will fix them.

Also...

If they really tested your game fire them lol you're best off testing yourself.  When you complete each map try running into nearly everything from different angles to make sure you cant go through it, also go back through maps to make sure events don't reset (like the ones I listed).

I suggest fixing all of these bugs and cleaning up the grammar a bit then re-releasing the demo because at the moment I can't see how many people will play it through to the end.  Good luck.

For someone called the "Ultimate Eventer" your game sucks more than Paris Hilton.

I just playtested the game an whoa, the glitches are numerous. BUT  can't fire my playtesters because...erm...there kinda my friends. BUT, I plan on playtesting it myslef instead of them playtesting it all the time. Ok, I've fixed everything exce[t two thing...The fact the brother looks older then your dad, and you look to fat from the sides. 1st, I think the main character looks fine to me, so  am going to leave it untouched.2nd, I think I might switch the facesets around to fix the older problem. (The current demo hasn't been updated, though). And where can you find teh patch? I've been wondering how to fix the message problem, but I never could figure it out.
Agian, thanks.

@ Dragoon de Sol
...
I don't really care what you think much anymore. If your going to complain about my game, be like Greeb or Rpg noob. Atleast they were helpfull. I need to LEARN from my mistakes, not get all flustered about someone hatting my game.  And the reason I put Ultimate Eventer in my name is not because i'm great at making games, but I Am the ultimate eventer. Look at my profile to learn why. And I never used a tutorial for any of those.

@ All
Well, the fixed version should be out in a bit. Everything so far is working fine, and you should get the look at the arena, everything interactable, and advanced party swapper.

RPGnoob... for a guy with your name, and no avatar, you're surprisingly helpful and know quite a bit about the maker >.> Sure you don't want to change your name before you rack up a post count? You might regret it later if you don't :p
