Yeah. Trying again.

Project Status:
- Working on demo maps, testing ways to make barricades

Working title: "Rotting Wastelands"

Rotting Wastelands is a fictional account of a young man who lives on zombie-plagued earth. The story follows his transition from youth to leader in a violent world.

Brief story(?)

In the year 2054, all seems peaceful. The world has ultimately defined itself, with the lowest of classes living on surface dwellings, along with the military. Middle and upper-class live in the skies, inside towering buildings which once were accessible from the ground. When people wanted something new, they build on top of the old (Sort of like modern Venice, except no sinking).

Four years previous, an outbreak of the virus known as "R3" rendered  populations dead in hours.  So, being in the lowly poor class, you and others fear as the shuffling hordes of the dead stalk humanity.

Characters:
Oliver -- (Protagonist) A young criminal with little experience with weapons

(Others to come as updates are made)

City:
- Low, Middle and High height sections
- Low is the surface. It is occupied by humans and the military. Most buildings were constructed from 1950-1999.
- Middle is the section of buildings built from 2000-2012. There is a high amount of zombies here, but the middle level is the most barricaded.
- High is the section of buildings built from 2013-2048. There is little to no zombie threat at this level.
- In addition to the three levels, some subterranean areas exist as well.

Features
- Traveling between city sectors will be full of sneaking, trickery,
deception or bloody battles, depending on the player's actions
- Take residence anywhere in the city and build a barricaded fortress
to hide out in
- A custom DBS revolving around ammunition use
- Dynamic object movement, and the ability to construct
walls and barricades
- Ability to turn lights on and off, and game remembers
which lights are on/off respectively.

(Others to come as updates are made)

Yeah, right now is the time period when everyone thinks zombies are cool, then it dies down in five-ten years, then it starts again.

Sounds like a fun game.   I'm a sucker for post-nuclear/apocalyptic games.   If you enjoy medieval fantasy as well, ROA will have a post-nuclear feel to it.   Gotta love wizard's and their high-octane magic's *chuckle*.

Anyways, good stuff.    Will be excited to see what updates you do.

The chipsets don't match your charsets very well.  Maybe make them a bit darker?  And maybe some more shading...  But, other than that, looks good.
