Who wants to go to Spain with me?!

Yeah, I'm planning on going on a student exchange trip to Spain next February. I'm only about $4000 short of being able to stay for one semester in Salamanca. I've been wanting to do this for a while; Spain has some of the best communications courses around, and it looks awesome on a resume. That, and it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience in its' own right.

Like I said, I'm $4000 short, though--the trip costs $8500, all expenses included. I'm looking for scholarships that'll help me, so don't think I'm gonna ask Charas for the cash (psh--as if Charas had the money for that .

I'm hoping I'll be able to see England while in Europe...but, again, that's over a year (and $4000) away...

Couldn't you borrow the money from a family member? You could explain to them how important this is to you and how it'll help with your future career and stuff.

Failing that, I'll FedEx you a big box. You get inside and somehow have it Returned To Sender.

I used to live in Penn-state, actually--Bethlehem, to be exact. Power to the Amish! ^_^

...Yeah, but my family's in a tight spot--there's no way they can spot me the cash. The trip is not for another year, so I have 11 months to get the money.

Well hopefully you can get the money, If I had $4000 that I didn't need at all, you could have it, problem is that I only have around $150 in my account right now :-p

If this is really important to you, you can pick up another job. You should be able to make $4000 on a part time job in a year. Otherwise do something like donating blood/plasma. I make $55 a week donating plasma, over a course of a year, thats close to $3000.

I'd love to get a job, but I don't have a car. Also, I get Vocational Rehabilitation (because of my Asperger's). They'll pay for my studying expenses up until my Master's degree--if I get a job, I'll lose that. That'll end up doing more harm than good. My VR counselor said she was going to see if she could find any additional funds, but.... I haven't heard from her since last month.

....Also, I don't think people in Puerto Rico get payed for donating blood....if not, I'd donate blood, AND semen.

Can I point out here that in a year you might be able to come to England. The other day Drace told me that in the future he will be coming to stay here as an educational thing. ZKX is also coming to England at some point. It's going to be like Charas Comes To England. We're going to all meet up and have a sexy party.
