Limit Breaks
« on: April 07, 2008, 01:05:03 PM »
Hello, I am new here to charas but I thought it might be helpful to let some people know how to do limit breaks. First open up your database then go to animations. Make a good one for a limit break. Maybe a summon
. Now go to skills and make a spell with that animation make it fairly strong. Now we need a switch called [limitbreak] now go to monster groups and the first box below that says trigger click there and near the bottom there should be Hero HP make it between 1% and 25%. Now make a conditional branch and click something like switch and make sure it says our limit switch and have it turned off. Then click another space below and go to change skills and add to the character you want the limit break to be and add the skill that is a limit break. Then go to new page............. nevermind here is a drawn detail of what it should look like. Branch.
If switch [limitbreak] is OFF
change skills {Hero  Name} add [spell that you called limit break]
end. You will need a new page so click on new page. the triggetr will be 26%-100% for heros HP. Then below that it should look like this.
Change Skills [hero name] remmover [ the limit break]
and walla you have a limit break. you'll have to do this in every monster group that is in your game and make sure all your characters have their own limit break. enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I know I read a tut in the tutorial section of charas. Try to search for it.

Well in theory:

Create some conditional branches so that the un-used characters are shown.

Now use the message thing and write "/h 1" or something like that to display the name of the correct party member.
Show message "Switch in who?"
Show choice:

"Hero 1"
"Hero 2"
"Hero 3"
"Hero 4"

If "Hero 2" is chosen then show message and choices:
"Replace with who?"
"Hero 5"
"hero 6"
"Hero 7"
"Hero 8"
(You'll need more conditional branches here and make sure that the ones used are the one that are shown).

If "Hero 5" was the selected choice then continue.
Remove party member: Hero 5
Add party member:Hero 2

Donno, if it would work... But i think it would.
Just make a skill or a skill subject called "Party" and add something like this into all your battle groups.
