Great Game, Finished!
« on: April 19, 2008, 11:31:42 PM »

UNTITLED
 [/I]

You are_____ and you start the game waking up from a good nights sleep. You go to check your journal to see what the tasks of the day are. It is just like any other day, clear, blue sky, glistening water on the pond, even the daily theft that your nemisis, Grouch, does. Ingitch truly is a paridise for the lower class. After doing some good deeds around the town, you decide that it is time to go into the dungeon that was closed because of the theories of ghosts and deaths. You find a funny looking key and enter the dungeon... What happens next is all up to _____...

The game is really quite fun to play after you get past the first area because of the slow begining and at the same time, quick start. The game has many great features like...

  • The eating system: you gain stats from eating food, not from leveling up!
  • Tresurey system: you can gain acess to many great weapons and skills by opening doors that can only be activated by using a special key! The best prizes are for rarer keys.
  • Riddle game: The game is full of riddles to be solved such as gaining acess to a new area by giving someone a certain item only found by a certain monster.
  • A great storyline not having many off-road quests and off-track battles, conversations, etc.
  • And... an ending that no one saw coming!

Someone please tell me how to load games on to here so I can let you guys play it! I gave credits to people for Music as well so don't worry about that! :D Hope you guys/girls will like it!

Expected time to be completed...    0-3 days

Here are some character descriptions...

Otto:
Male, teens 18
The main character of the game. He is the person at the begining who wakes up and goes into the dungeon. He is strong and effectionate. He loves Bat Stews and has a thing for solving puzzles. He has no Ability.

Worker Man:
Male, 17
He is the second character you get in the game. You find him in the dungeon and you have to rescue him from starving to death. He has a low IQ because of the lack of oxygen and being in the middle of an earthquake site. His favorite food is Delicate Desert. His ability allows you to destroy some boulders that block your way.

Hydrodude:
Male, 23
He is very intelectual and is the brains of the team. He is a Water-Agent meaning he can breathe underwater and is healed by water moves. He uses Ranged weapons and is very tactical. His favorite food is unknown though he prefers Snail Salad over anything else. His ability allows you to destroy boulders that have soaked in enough water.

Kristal:
Female, 16
She is the only Female in the game, that you get in your party, and she is very shy towards Otto, at first. You have to rescue her from a Nightmare Dimension where all your deepest fears come true. She has no favorite food. Her ability allows her to use her whip to get across endless pits in the ground.

OTHER CHARACTERS[/U]

Guru-Guru:
Genderless, Ageless
A slime is known as a Guru-Guru and this is one of the characters you must be. A weak and pathetic slime because you just couldn't stop having fun! Fun is good, but not at the cost of your own body! This character can have a weapon and has food to eat, as well. They are Guru-Guru food so when you are this character you can eat this food, only!

Kunoshi:
Male, ???
A videogame character that you must be in order to gain a prize of your choosing. This character has a lazer sword, lazer-proof armor, and is very strong against fiends. You must defeat another character in the game to win, The King of Games!

Those are the characters in the game. A certain enemy is also made by Charas and shall be revealed soon... I wonder who? :yell:

To me, nothing is a bigger turn off to a game than the creator complimenting his own game.  >.>

It sounds a bit interesting, but honestly this sounds like another game that's more hype than anything.  Prove me wrong, please.

The game is not titled yet?

I guess you could wait to title 'til you finish but..

Twist endings are always fun though!

I just looked at a handful of games at my house, nearly all of them complimented the game in someway or another. Theres always terms like "memerable characters", "epic story", "incredibly animated". Now you're complaining that this game says "great story", get over it.

Anyway, the game seems very unique, it'll be nice when you get the actual game up so we can see how it really is :)

Hell Yeah! Just recovered all my old rm2k/3 games from my 10 year old, broken laptop hard drive that had been formatted and had a new OS installed on it. Oh, and I did all of this from my phone. WIN

By "Great storyline not having..." I meant that it is a great game that doesn't get off track like some games I have played. This game has some quests, but doesn't totally get off the main point of the game. You don't get so into a quest that you don't remember what the game is about or what you were supposed to do to continue the storyline. I wasn't complaining about my game, that's all.

Yeah, it's not that big of a problem, but after being disappointed by some 20 RPGmaker games that claim to be amazing, it gets annoying.  More often than not it's the games that aim low that are the best.  :\  Sorry if I came off as whiny or anything like that.

Anywayyssss, good luck with your game and all those generic encouraging statements XD  The game sounds like it has potential, and maybe, just maybe it'll live up to what you say about it :D

Thanks Dominicy. I'm not bragging when I say the game is great, it is only in my opinion. The ending is taking a lot longer than I thought though, so I'm still working on it. I made some more animations and maps for it too. The ending scene(s) will take about... 3-10 minutes to read depending on how fast you read. I'd say It would take a lot longer, but I haven't completed it yet. I'll time it and see how long the end is just so you guys know in case of limited time on the computer, chores, etc. There are some errors in the game I found today so it is going to take me about maybe an hour or two longer to finish and edit the game.

Estimated time left:  7-32 Hours

I have been burried in homework for the past week, but I managed to add a lot more to the end last night. I just need to fix a moving event and add the final event then... Wala! It's finished. I'm also test playing it to make sure there're no bugs in the system.

estimated time: Very soon

I am in a tight spot here. I've completed the game except for a few small details that should only take a few minutes, but... There is the need of one last thing for those of you who are going to play. I will put up the rulebook and it will be in a word document so please read it before rushing into the game because there are some hints in the rulebook that might help out a lot!
