Okay here is the deal.

1. That is a tenative title.
2. Yes, this is an idea to ctreate a monster collecting/battleing game.
3. No, there will no be prefixs on all the gadgets like "poke-this" and "poke-that"
4. No, there will be no sufixes like "URGaymon" or "Stopexerscisingandplaythisgamemon"

What I want to make;

- A game where the player actually watches their character develop. (That means talking.)
- A game where the stats of a monster decide waht they turn into. (So not everyones Pleasent will turn into a tree. [No offense luke, I actually like that tree.])
- A game where there is an actual goal that is described from the begining, if ever. (What is a pokemon master anyway?)
- A game where just walking around is fun.

Features I hope will be included :

- Just around 70 obtainable monsters and 200 enemy monsters. I know, small compared to all gmaes like this, and the tentaive title is misleading
- Four stages of transformation, with mroe possibilities with each monster raised.
- A stunning skill list that makes any character look strong and worth not deleting.

Story idea :

This is porbably the last thing Pokemon and Digimon think about after 5 years of programing, but I put a tad bit of thought into this. Remember, I said a tad.

The player is a special kind of Officer, not sure what kind, but I'm looking for a word to fill in the blank in "Blank Officer"
Anyway his assighnment is Pokedex ish. Collect data on monsters. but he/she soon finds bigger things are going on in the world.
Gadgets:
Egg port (tentative name) Teleports eggs, found in the wild, to the hub.

After certain amount of time, the egg will hatch into an Infant stage monster, at a random level from 2 to 6. Each of these Infants will reach level 6 sooner or later, and when that happens, they turn into one of two Child stage. Other Child forms can be obtained by other means.

Each Child form can turn into a number of Adult forms, who can then turn into a number of Final Forms, the strongest, which means hardest to raise.

What I need :

A person to sprite the endless possibilities, i'll provide sketches and other sources for what I'm looking for
I'm handling most of the creative stuff and programing.

Hey, don't critisize the idea or my begging for a team. It'll be fun to play. Plus, all the games you guys are making can be made by one, two guys? Maybe a third does the music?

This will tkae a whole team. So what do you say?

In other words, you won't find anyone to form a team to help you make this game. And that is the pure brutal honesty. If you continue with this and show some progress, someone may do a title request for you or something. But overall, you're on your own.

Not trying to be a dick, but that's really what it comes down to. Your ideas aren't bad, you've got a good place to start.

Sigh... you know before Gamingw.net shut down or whatever, there would be a new game up every week, always made by a team. And despite having one of the homlies croweds on the net, Charas is always at the butt of getting games out there.

Maybe if we all just stopped spitting on the occasional good idea, not to say we should spit in games like carpe Diem and waht not, but seriously guys.

Okay, sure I don't need like 5 people, and I don't need an sketches, but I could single handly program this entire game, but I need Graphics.

Dren you didn't even give me reasons as to why I wont find a team, so I got nothing to go on.

Lack of gifted and young people.

The good and gifted people these days have one of the following things:

Problem with school/needs to study shitloads
A girlfriend
A wife
Kids
A life
A job

Ans to sum it up, the people who could make an awesome game won't be able to since they've become less active on the forums and also more or less quit the rpgmaker bussines 'cuz they don't have the time.

That's just what I know from my own experience though.

And what Dren tried to say was that; an idea is an idea. But progress will show people that you actually have it in you to get far with this.
If you make some progress and let people know what you have so far and then make your topic, people are more likely to join you.

Like Red said, too many Pokemon fan games. And your sorta making your game a digimon/monster rancher. Meh good idea, but I would help, but like Prpl said I have a wife, and I work two full time jobs, I can barely even get my game past the fist scene as i have to make all the charasets, chipsets ahve to be modified, and i'l doing mall requests for people at the same time.
Show us what you can do by yourslef, then you will get help.

You have a story, find chipsets and get started mapping some things out. Hell I started with my campsite and random weather events before i did any mapping. I don't even have the chipset completed for my opening scene or my personality quiz that the game is based on.
