« on: February 02, 2004, 09:15:39 PM »
Ok I am trying to please almost evryone with a game that they can enjoy playing...but before i start this project i want to get some ideas on what people are looking for in a rpg. Also im opening a web site soon for the game(s) iam goin to make.It will give details on upcoming games and resources also it will have a place for people who want to help me out with these projects. Its really hard to learn everything and to build everything by myself,so any help will be aprreciated.I could use help in any area possible for the upcoming projects...or even training me would be of some use.So please if you have the time IM or  PM me for help or if you want to be apart of this project. For those with ideas just post them or email me.

Puzzles.

And the game shouldn't be really easy; it should at least be kinda difficult.

Make it a zombie-whacking game like Zombies Ate My Neighbors!

Yes, very important you have these. And make sure it isn't chock-full of cliches.

Good characters. Sometimes, when I play an rpg (And always when I play a different genre) I don't feel for the characters, and when the end comes, I don't even care.
However, in some rpg's, I find I'm engulfed by the characters, entranced by their personalities, I become  the characters.
And when the finale comes, a tear is jerked to my eye.

Well, you could have lots of talking, but not all in a row.
If what is said is interesting itself, and is said in short cutscenes that aren't too close together, it could work.

And mikagami, if there isn't alot of talking, and not alot of battles, what's left?
