Bushido: The Armageddon Chronicles
« on: July 29, 2008, 04:53:53 PM »

-The Armageddon Chronicles-
The King James Bible states that "Armageddon" is the war between God and Satan for the right to the souls of all men. Where the Antichrist or "The Beast" shall rise and be defeated by the second coming of Christ. The Koran states that Isa (Jesus) will descend to Damascus on Judgement Day and defeat Dajjil, the false divinity that has taken the world, and the Christians shall see the truth that Islam is the true faith. Both of these works are half truths. One text exists that states the truth of the hours and days of the earth has existed for longer than both of these texts ever have. It exists in a realm that neither of these religeons recognises, party of ignorance, partly of fear. This Realm is the Immortal Realm and this text is the Armageddon Chronicles. None shall see it bar the one that wrote it, not even the Gods themselves.

-New World Order-
In the early 21st Century a new coalition of governments caused the world to rejoice, uniting the world under one banner. There would be no war, no oppression and no hatred in this world, or so was promised. The New World Order arose from the ashes of great wars in the east. Powerful nations saught to destroy those who were gaining much power and would use it, so intervened on the pretence of saving the people. What became of this was a war of truely dire circumstances. The powerful nations fought on an ever widening battlefield and their resources began to thin. Eventually they had to fight with their most dire weapons, and the enemy responded in the same way. The human race was on the edge of devastation. This was until a group of individuals came and took the pain away from the world. No-one knows how it happened. One day the world just stopped fighting and united. The powerful nations and their enemies conceded to this new group of individuals who would head their empires. No-one knew who they were, just that they had come from no-where to save the world

-5 Years Later-
The New World Order begins to become paranoid over-night about some great threat to the world. They dispatch entire armies to small regions in the West to seek out any "revolutionaries", as they called it. It was a massacre.
Thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands were killed in just one night under the pretence that they posed a threat to the security of the world.
Not content with this, the New World Order began to impose ever more laws to decrease civil liberties on the citizens of the world. Finally they began hiring common thugs to cause chaos in order to root out suspected "trators". In the end, this would be their own undoing. Resistance groups all over the western world began to appear.

-Unification-
The small bands of resistance fighters eventually pulled together their resources to form larger "Clans" of resistance fighters. Many names where whispered amonst the now enpoverished peoples of the world- The Knighthood, Angelus Mortis, 99 Roses, but in a few years time, none would be whispered more than The Order.

-The Time of Ending-
The New World Order takes a despirate measure and makes a gambit with forces of great darkness. Out of the fires of some damned hell ridden place a new member of the New World Order appears to take command of their legions of men and machines to seek out this one threat that they despise more than all things; yet none know it. Strange happenings go on witht he world, and abilities many people never had, or even dreamt about begin to surface. Miricles of healing are rumoured and dark magics are feared. It is even rumoured that some have seen demons.

Characters-

Codename: Defilus
Spacial Skill: Neo-Bushido
Age 22
Bio- Defilus was 18 when the New World Order came to power and always suspected something sinister about them. Using an old book he discovered in the library he hid in on the even the New World Order murdered his family, Defilus puts his own swing on the fighting style, incorperating his dual Desert Eagle handguns and his enormous sword. Many say it is a wonder that he can wield it, as many are stronger than he and cannot even lift its huge frame, yet he wields it as if light as a feather. Smart, but not studious, he tries to keep his opinions to himself and is very set in his ways. He is strong willed, and feels emotions more powerfully than others, but always hides them; which consiquentially makes him obsessive at times over everything from tasks, to ideals, to women. Has a sense of humour, but there is something dark about him that no-one can really put their finger on, that will soon enough be revealed...

Codename: Zepher
Special Skill: Black Magic
Age 22
Bio- Best friends with Defilus since they were born, the two were seperated for many years. Eventually seeks out Defilus after the cataclysmic night when their families were killed by the New World Order to join the band of revolutionaries he is working with to strike back in revenge. He starts to develop skills in Magic very early after the first reports of magic use come through, he specialised in the elements, and uses his mastery over them to striek back at the New World Order. A trustworthy friend, if a little on the quiet side, Zepher always looks out for his comrades and is always the first to volunteer for a mission to get back at the New World Order.

Codename: Drakan
Special Skill: Swordplay
Age 23
Bio- Cousin and mentor to Defilus, Draken will to his best to protect his cousin from harm. Hailing from the side of the family that was saved on that night, Draken feels he needs to watch over his cousin, treating him as a brother, as they always had been to each other, whilst he exacts his revenge on those that caused him pain. Always willing to speak his mind, Draken generally thinks with his heart and not his head - intelegant, but will regularly rely on skill with a sword over quick thinking to escape from a tight situation. As a result, Draken is found training his skills with his blade when not in battle.

Codename: Mordatus
Special Skill: Gunplay
Age 24
Bio- A character from Defilus and Draken's past, Mordatus has re-emerged as a lietenant in the resistance group. Mysterious to the limit, he never mentions what happened to him during the years he has been away. Always one to diffuse arguements within the group, Mordatus is a foreboding figure, who always thinks a plan of action through before engaging. A master of infiltration, once his cover is blown Mordatus lets the enemy feel his presence with his prized shotgun and his silver grenade launcher, tearing through the enemy often at very close range with the ferosity of a berserker.

Codename: Alessia
Special Skill: White Magic
Age 23
Bio- An old friend of Defilus from the times of peace, Alessia and Defilus studied together and became best friends. Her family survived the night of the New World Order's murderous rampage by going into hiding in the highlands, whist she was left in the lowlands to defend herself. She believes she owes a debt of gratitude to Defilus who traveled to save her from certain death that night, though neither talk about it, partly from trauma, partly because she blames herself for the death of his family. She is intellegant and passionate about her cause, making her a very charismatic person. She develoved the powers of healing very recently and has been developing her skills slowly and maticulously, as is her style. She arms herself with a pistol from the night she was saved that she had heavily modified since.

Codename: Shrike
Special Skill: Death Magic (Necromancy)
Age 20
Bio- Always chirpy and confident, Shrike is a real paradox. Fun loving and carefree, he often gets into trouble simply because he is having such a good time and because of his immense abilities, is very cocky. Always tries to joke about everything, Shrike is hailed as a clown by all who know him. The real irony in his buzzing and carefree character is that he specialises in the art death. Death Magic has recently emerged and Shrike had learned quickly; causing his enemies to be plagued by rigour mortis and decay. Soon, he believes he will be able to kill with a glance and even ressurect the dead. He carries the Scythe as a testiment to the fact that Shrike believes he will be the next Grim Reaper.

DBS I'm afraid bud, for my CBS-fu is weak. I attempted it at one point, but all the the stuff I wanted to do was a bit too complicated to go into a CBS unfortunately. C'est la vie I guess.

The King James Bible states that "Armageddon" is the war between God and Satin for the right to the souls of all men.

While I'm a big fan of satin - it's a lovely fabric - it has never attempted to take my soul. Thus I feel that any war against it is unjust and unfounded, and I will be registering my complaints with a government official.

Oh, and this game is looking awesome. Very nice.
