College starts on Monday for me (part of the reason why my rotten husk is back around here--nice seein' y'all again ). This semester is different, though...

See, since I have Asperger's Syndrome, I'm elligible for some kinds of aid in school and such. One such aid is Vocational Rehabilitation; they do various things, such as reccomend various types of vocational therapies to some financial aid. Last semester, you might recall that I was planning a (now defunct until further notice) student exchange trip to Spain, land of 'La Oreja de Van Gogh' (a cool Spanish rock-band), and 'Los Ganados' and their weird 'plagas'. However, Voc. Rehab. stumbled upon a slight problem:

I've never lived on my own.

Long story short...I'll be rooming with these three other guys this semester, cooking my own food (and keeping my leftovers out of their greedy hands), paying rent, sharing a room, and walking to College...on my own. Granted, Puerto Rico is a small island, and either one of my parents live about 10-25 minutes away, give or take, but I'm pretty much leaving the nest, soon.....

I've been living on my own for a little over two years now.

Don't sweat it, it's a peice of cake. Just make sure you have plenty of money in the bank. you don't have to horde money or anything, just avoid cutting it close, come time for rent. If you cut it close, and you **** up, you can scrape. I HAVE done that, and it's pretty shitty
I know you said you'd gotten the rent thing down, but it's a little sketch if your parents can't bail you out if you **** up.

...It's not like I'm some big, obese, nerdy shut-in who blames the fact that he stumbled on his own square feet on a neurological disorder. Regardless of having A.S. or not, it's why I'm in Vocational Rehab.

I understand if it bothers you, though, so I'll put an effort to not mention it again.

By the way...I moved in yesterday. It turns out...the guy I'm sharing a room with is gay. He's okay, though, so I'm not worried. I have class in about twenty minutes...here's hoping I do well....
