Logic would dictate that if someone starts a thread about root vegetables and it drifts off-topic and ends up in an in-depth discussion about the principles of Archimedes, and this disrupts the discussion about root vegetables, it shouldn't continue. There should be an Archimedes' Principles thread. Likewise if people break off into little off-topic discussions, they are going to derail the thread. MSN and Private Messages are perfect for off-topic stuff.

Furthermore, the moderation is strict lately because the general consensus of the member base was that stricter moderation was needed until people get the message and the level of spam dies down. We're doing a top-notch job, put up with it.

Conversations evolve and change.

If a conversation about root vegetables sparks up **** and leads into principles of Archimedes, so be it.  Thats how the conversation rolls.  And later, if you still have input on veggies, SAY IT. No biggie.


Thats this forums problem.  You guys take yourself too seriously.  Like its some kind of business.  Im not here to start up drama or some **** but come on dude, you cant scream OFF TOPIC BURN THE WITCH everytime someone has a different thought sparked by the original topic, because once again, THATS HOW CONVERSATIONS ROLL, NIGGA.

Its very simple.  I mean if someone just randomly posted "man I really like the way candles smell" in this thread, okay, fine, off topic as hell.  But if the original topic sparks other things and leads to different subjects, then thats how it is.  Doesn't mean you have to stop talking about the original topic, but dont need to be a jerk about it and treat it like a big plot to stop all talk about the original topic.

The way we do things are, as far as I can see, the way they've always been done. We've got to enforce rules and keep topic discussions separate, or there's no point in having a forum at all and we may as well just have a big shoutbox where everyone can post "lol" and pretend to be Drace.
