that last one is kind of ridiculous.

Its a black blob with awkwardly placed eye holes.

Digital art looks cool.  maybe have the text look less...plain next time though.  They just kinda look tacked on there.

As for the drawings, I dont know.  I guess it looks okay, but the way your doing it, in thick black lines and straight edges and deformed figure, its really really hard to have it look shitty, so it isnt saying much.
That last ones supposed to be a weapon, and my original drawing for it (which was much much better) got destroyed (somehow).
It also has a name, The Spiker, and it's supposed to be a huge halberd-meets-greatsword type thing

And as for the drawings, schizophrenia fucks everything up when you're drawing
If I sound pissy, I apologize, I'm just in one of my weird random-*** rage flashes

I do all the art in Gimp
First I render a flame, after looking for awhile, then I put some fitting text in bizzare places, then put a starburst over it. Simple, not very original, but it can look okay

Thanks for all the criticism, it's really refreshing not having people go "ZOMG your digital art is SOOOOO good!"
Eugh, they have no idea what "good" art is

So...
Got something kinda old, made it a year ago, and I call it ""Shangri-La"
Because it's based off of the blue moon mentioned in that book which name I forget

(maybe) More to come later

Eh. I'm sorry, but that could be made in a minute with photoshop. Try adding some cloud effects and define the mountain a bit more. Adding some water at the bottom would allow you to get rid of the uglier parts of the mountain and let you make a moon reflection, still allowing focus to be on the moon.

I know!
It's mega-epic fail

Because I painted it with COLORS on my DS!
In about the same amount of time (a minute) to!
Not a very capable program
But it's the closest I have to a tablet

Once I get one you will see my artwork get WAY WAY way better
Because you'll actually see the way I draw
Which is much better then the way I digital Paint

I am going to go try to do what you said though
It sounds mega-epic not fail
Not win
But not fail

It's also not "new", I have no idea why I even said that
It's about a year old

Found this on my myspace
I remember doing this one
It's some checker board I made, rippled a couple times, with a fractal warp applied to it

I think those are my strong points, actually

Thank you
I'm planning on turning that into an actual song later on, because I actually like the melody it has

I updated the file
It now has cymbal sounds, as well as an improved ending...kinda

Photobucket fucked up so I'm going to add my latest thing in tomorrow

It's a mask, which I named "The Destroyer"
All the pictures that I have on photobucket right now suck, however, so you'll have to wait until I can access the card on which I saved all the pictures

wow...I had to work for years to call myself an artist.
Spent a good 7 years doing crap work in tattoo shops.
Spent 9 months solid painting and repainting paintings to put on my first (and only) gallery show to date
spent over a year learning how to master my graphics tablet
Endured countless consultaions with clients to make a product that would meet their, and my standards for commisioned pieces
Took a semester of post secondary visual arts
went to a specialized highschool and learned 3 dimensional techs, Illustration techs and drafting techs

and you slap some textures into a gimp document, add a warp effect and a solar flare,
AND COMPLETELY PUT EVERY ARTIST IN THE WERLD TO SHAME!!1!

thats not digital art, its experimentation with graphics applications.
those arent drawings, theyre poorly executed abstractions that really have no realy thought or training put into them.

you arent and "arteest" you are a kid trying to learn to draw.

REWRITE, I ACTUALLY THOUGHT THIS TIME:
I know I suck at art...I tell people who freak out whenever they see my drawings and think they're the bestest things ever
I just love what I do, and love to show it, even when they are not accepted well (SEE ALL ABOVE POSTS)

Mostly what I am good at, I don't post much, because I don't really think that poetry and writing is very exciting

And I am still trying to learn to draw, as I have some severe brain disorder that you may have heard of, called "Autism"...basically fucks up the brain-communication thing...so most of these glorious images I see end up as twisted little blobs that would make most 2 year olds laugh

So yes, still learning, and yes I will continue to post the things that I do as long as I think I'm actually "Improving"

EDIT THRICE:

How the hell did I not notice that
Probably because I skip over shitty grammar...which may be why I don't read what I'm writing half the time...interesting...
Anyways, onto subject!
Most of my designs are geometrical patterns
You should see my "sketchbook", I guess you could roughly call it
Has tons of stuff in it that actually don't look half bad...not good, but not *hiss hiss, scream* "Take it away!!!1!"

But yeah: Moral is, most of the stuff on this thread I ****ing hate, because I made it years ago (my parents were still together then), and I was basically just goofing off, and mostly I just post to show my so called "improvements"

Counter-point: Art shouldn't be limited by formal training and experience. Sure, it makes a massive improvement, but it's an art form, not a spread sheet. Everything art is expression, not formula. You can spend all the time in the world honing your skills, but still be nothing more than a mediocre artist due to a lack of creativity and failed attempts at expression. On the flip side, you can spend three years doing nothing except experimenting with a lone medium (enough time to become familiar with how to use it effectively, and enough time for a truly fascinated person to have drawn/painted/what-have-you enough times to know how they should look), and because of their creativity, they can create a modern-day masterwork. I'm not suggesting that these works are masterful, or that such a hypothetical is likely, but the point I'm trying to make is that your suggestion that art cannot exist without years of work or as a result of experimentation are fundamentally flawed.

Oh, and as for what I think about the works overall: They need work. How about having a subject next time? Heavily filtered patterns are boring.
