I think I would've liked a 360, but I couldn't bring myself to get one because I had an original XBOX and had no luck with it. I didn't like 95% of the games and my controllers slowly broke and it stopped reading discs and eventually, it just started to collect dust in my room. There's no reason to use it. However, I got a GC because I was tired of my luck with XBOX and loved it. I loved the games, didn't care about the shitty graphics people were complaining about, and just had so much fun playing it. So then, I asked, why would I get a 360 over a Wii? I loved NES, SNES (though I didn't have one, but Sega died past this point anyway so it's not like it applies here), N64, GC, Gameboy, GBA, and DS all so much, so I figured why would I NOT get the Nintendo product? End result, I'm happy, though I think there's a lot I would've liked on 360, considering some of the games I've seen that NEVER would've been on the original XBOX.

So after all is said and done, my favorite console ever is probably... GBA. Yes, my favorite console is a handheld. It was just so freaking awesome, though. Maybe if I had a SNES I would've liked that better, but most of the SNES greats were rereleased on GBA anyway, and then there were the original games like Golden Sun that made it so awesome. I just played so many great games on GBA that I have to call it my favorite. I think it's the last console on which I actually enjoyed RPGs. In general, I hate new RPGs, as they are far too obsessed with being VAST and EPIC and OPEN-ENDED. **** that, give me a story, give me some characters, give me some cool gameplay elements, let me play.

After GBA would definitely be PSX, ironically.

tl;dr Favorite console is GBA, followed by PSX.

Sega Dreamcast, no other answer. Why? SWORD OF THE SONIC JET SET SKIES OF PHANTASY.

Oh, my god...for a moment, I wished I was a woman.....

My favorite console? Surprisingly....GBA. It had a lot of great portable games. It brought us Fire Emblem, Drill Dozer, and three great Castlevanias. It brought back Breath of Fire, Shining Force, and five Final Fantasies. It brought me to Boktai 1 and 2. I STILL think Megaman Battle Network 3 was one of the best multiplayer games ever. While Gunstar Super Heroes wasn't as good as the original, it was fun nevertheless.

Most of all....Astro Boy: Omega Factor. That has to be the best action game I've ever played. That, and it's the only game (or, hell, only STORY) whose ending has made me tear up. Not cry, mind, but tear up.

I see all of those "Petz" and "Spanish Tutors" for the DS, and so few RPGs and action games. on the DS..I can't help but sigh, and wish I was back in '03, with all of those awesome GBA games I hadn't played, waiting for me to buy them. Lunar, Megaman Zero, Shining Soul 2, Sigma Star Saga, Metal Slug.....I wish I could find those games, even if I only played them once.  But things are looking up. for the DS. Izuna 1 and 2, Bangai-O Spirits, Advance Wars DS, Pokemon Pearl and Diamond, Bleach: Dark Souls, Custom Robo Arena, Dragon Quest IV, FFIV, Jump! Ultimate Stars....there's potential! Now, all we need is another Earthbound...I'd also like that new 'Phantasy Star Zero' (I think that's what it's called) to come stateside.

Otherwise, GBA all the way. Genesis, in terms of old-school, PS2 for modern-era, by the way.
