My horse won't stop walking in place!

Alright, so, I have a horse charset that's supposed to be my skiff vehicle, but the only problem I have is that he's always walking in place, even if he's not moving. I fixed it by making a new charset of him standing, and nodding, if you're not riding him, but if you are, then it shows his walking animations all the time.
Is there anyway at all to make it so that he shows his walking animation only if you move, like how the hero works when he's not in a vehichle? Thanks to anyone who helps!

Vehicles will always do that. The best way to do this is to not use vehicles. Just make a character event of a horse, when you press the space bar by the horse, the hero becomes the horse graphic with the hero riding, the move speed increases. When you get off the horse, the hero graphic becomes normal again, and the horse event is placed next to the hero's new location.

Hmmm... to tell the truth, I really don't like the idea of making an event in every single map. But, if there really isn't a way at all, what so ever, to do this with a vehichle, then I guess I'll just stop complaining...
