You and many others say just five years, but hell. I mean, it's FIVE YEARS. I mean, try to do absolutely nothing but sitting in your room for five years only reading, it's ridiculously paining for your mind. I once spent a mere ten hours in a jail which had driven me insane enough already. And that's just ten hours.

There are 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week, 28 to 31 days in a month and 365 or 366 days in a year. And that for five years, is enough to break your mind. Any chance I would get to get out, I would grab it.

Not necessarily. My friend who's in prison who I previously mentioned got 3 years for stealing guns. Or rather buying stolen guns that he didn't know were stolen. But because he was in possession of them he went to jail. And the ones who sold them to him are still free.

That said, I'd probably want to escape from prison (the showers.....ugh...). But, I'd probably not, and become the 'well mannered snitch'. Not a very dignified position in the big house; once Silvester Stallone comes in, I'd be dead.

Dude. If you were locked in jail for 5 years you prolly did something to deserve it. And how hard do you think it would be to move to another part of the globe, where you would need fake stuff, and not being able to talk to anyone you knew before? Just think.

Even if you did something bad, you wouldn't want to waste 5 entire years of your live. Live is short, wasting 5 years is way too much.

Also, I do think it is easy. At least easier here in Europe than in the US. Why? Because you guys had the great idea to create one country, while we in Europe have MANY countrIES. Resulting in easier hiding. Also, if Osama bin Laden can go on uncaught, it's only easier for us.

Better than Venezuelan prisons. Most people have guns, there are no cells or rules, and the whole place is basically a little town of criminals.
