I've made a new game Drak. http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=4c67c39bd5e53cf4ed24a2875c7fa58e508d6df6ee2caf13c95965eaa7bc68bc Hope you like it alot more than 13, or hate it as much... Either is fun ^^
It's called Tape and has no backstory. :P

You should do my game lol.

You're talking about the demo, right?  If so, read on.

First reaction:
Some coding after the opening cutscene needs to be tweaked a bit - the tint stays at 0%.
Second reaction:
HOLY F*CKING SH*T!  THIS GAME IS F*CKING AWESOME!!!!!!!  I COULD NEVER BE THIS GOOD!!!!!!!
HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO CODE ALL OF THAT??!?!?!?!?!!!
I like the Golden Sun and Fire Emblem references.  And I'm only a few minutes in.
But the beginning cutscene is also like the Golden Sun 2 opening - way too long.  Sorry.
BUT STILL!  Is the full version going to be free when it's done?
Well, I'm finally back from vacation.  And now by popular demand, (popular demand in this case being one lone request.)

Work on Jack Thompson's Anti Gaming Adventure first please :)

I've continued working on my Jack Thompson game.  Here are some of the things you can expect to find in this game...

*Voice acting.
*Flash animation cutscene(s).
*Battles that are challenging yet fair.
*Cameos of other people on charas project, game reviewers, people from movies and characters from my other games.

Basically, this is going to be an actual game.  The backstory is fairly derivative.  Here is what you find out in the opening scene.
Jack Thompson moves to East Germany, which in my game is being ruled by the Nazi party, in order to escape the evils of the media.  One day his son is possessed by a video game.  This game is none other than...  sYBON sTRATEGY!  He is then visited by Hitler's ghost.  (The actual person, not the wolf from Gulpy Gulpy,) who tells Jack that the only way to save his son is to kill the evil designer of the sYBON sTRATEGY...  Me!
That's all I'm going to give away for now, but I already have the whole story planned.

I'd like to submit a game. I call it... Appease Masamune! (Although that may not seem like the main focus on the game.) I got the idea from an oral word game my friends and I played. One of them said I should make it into a small, joke game. And this is what became of it!:
http://www.mediafire.com/?2zhg014zfjr
(Sorry for the filesize) (Also sorry it looks like I tried a bit too hard on some parts)
The goal of the game is to collect 5000 gold to repay a debt you owe to Masamune Date (From Koei's Samurai Warriors series, although I used a Sengoku Basara sprite for his battle stance). I'm not sure why, I guess you stole from his bank account or something. The main character is none other than Zero from the Mega Man X series. If I remember correctly, there are about 4 different endings you can get.
If you get stuck somewhere, I'll try to post a vid on my YouTube account on how to get all the extra endings, items, secrets, achievements, blah blah blah...

I'm only a few minutes into this one, and I'm already giving it an "E - Excellent."  The graphics are actually pretty good, especially the battles.  And you have some unlockable awards. . . which don't really belong in crappy games.

Try making a serious game!  It will probably be really good.

BTW: For anyone who's interested, I'm making a Metal Gear Solid sound pack; I'll post the link when it's done.

I don't come here that often but I decided to check out the other boards on this site and I found this topic.

I was having a pretty dull day and all so I decided to watch some of these and they had me laughing my *** off at the games and it pretty much made my day

That Final Fantasy 7 game with the Blocks was a 10/10 video

The game was an experiment, really. I thought I could probably learn some stuff from feedback, you know, like how to "crapitize" my games... I mean, it does have some elements of a crappy game, like random things that kill you for no reason, annoying puzzles, items that provide very vague descriptions, extremely overpowered skills... stuff like that. I've actually tried making a serious game a few times, but I can just never get the motivation to finish them. Imma try making another crappy game - with less coherent dialogue, more annoying puzzles, and maybe a tentacle monster for the main boss.

I'm working on Cliche' Quest III (for after Drak reviews CQ2, obviously) no spoilers but I will tell you that I put a little tribute to Billy Mays in there.
