I've heard a few times about patches that let you use all of the keys in RPG Maker.
I'm working on a 2-player game and it won't really work without the patch as when I
use the numpad, it makes the hero move and the second player! Anyone know if
a patch for rm2k3 even exists allowing use of all the letters and what it's called? If so,
I have a great idea for a multiplayer game.

I've also got 2 keyboards, so it's gonna be ace

As far as I know, there are two patches that let you do that. They are:

1) Ineluki's Key Patch - Not only lets you use the keyboard, but you can use the mouse too. I think you can even use external scripts through .wav files, amazingly.
2) Cherry's Power Patch - Possibly one of the most powerful patches for RPG Maker. Lets you use a variable-based scripting system, all keyboard keys, the mouse, change the resolution, use larger or smaller charsets and much, much more.

I saw these before. But I'm pretty sure they won't work with RPG Maker 2003... at least the version I have.

Are you sure they work?

Well if they wont, your only choice is to downgrade, cause they are the only patches.

I'm 99% sure that Power Patch works with 2003. I'm not sure about Ineluki, but my memory tells me that it's only compatible with 2000.

RPG Maker 2000 doesn't work on Vista. Well... apparently it does... but I'm not a forensic rocket scientist professor whatever so
I don't know how. I'll give it a try! Thanks a lot!

EDIT: They don't work... I guess it really is impossible to make a 2-player game
on RPG Maker 2003 unless you use the number keys at the very top.

its probably your version number. Like it needs 1.07 and you have 1.08 or something.

I didn't even know 1.07 existed. xD

Seriously now, Vista hates RPG Maker, for some reason. In fact, I think Vista hates pretty much everything. Such a shame. Hopefully Windows 7 (dumb name) will fix some of those issues. If it works fine with RPG Maker and looks as sexy as Vista, it's for me.

set very high) then I'm sooo getting it!

i have to use Windows 8 on my Vista
i did have Windows 7 and RPG Maker worked ok for me ?
