SSB Dream Fighters
« on: February 02, 2009, 07:25:54 AM »
Okay, many of you will probably hate me for posting this, and what not, but I really couldn't care less. I'm shocked Charas didn't already have a thread like this.

This thread is for people to post on their dream Super Smash Brothers fighter, from any franchise, genre, or universe; and for people to comment on other people's thoughts. Below is the format:

-FULL NAME:The character's full name.
-FIGHT NAME: The in-game name displayed. 1-12 characters.
-FROM: The franchise/series/universe/whatever the fighter is from. Include the name and genre (e.g. video game, movie, book etc.)
-CLASSIFICATION: Is this character a Heavyweight? A Powerhouse? A Shooter? A Speed Demon? etc.
-BIO: A very brief bio about the character. Tell a bit about them without spoiling any big plot details of their franchise.
-FIGHTING STYLE: What do they fight with?
-STORY ROLE: If this character were to appear in a Subspace-style story mode, what role would he/she/it play?

-ENTRANCE: The character's in-to-battle animation. Describe it. Also include anything the character says, and at what point.

-SMASHES (optional): The character's up, down, and forward smash attacks. Describe.

-SPECIALS: The character's up, down, forward, and inert special attacks. Name and describe.

-TAUNTS: 1,2, and 3. Describe (with quotes, if applicable.)

-VICTORY: One or more victory animations. Describe (again, with quotes, if applicable.)

-DEATH CRIES (optional): If the character has any special death cries (e.g. Pit's 'I'm finished') show them here, along with conditions (up or standard)

-FINAL SMASH: Everyone's favorite part. Name and describe your character's final smash. Be as detailed as possible, and include quotes if they apply.

-ATTACHMENTS (optional): Things to attach that may apply to your character. Examples include: An Emblem for the character, a Theme for the character, etc.)

-FULL NAME: Red Django
-FIGHT NAME: Djangp
-FROM: Boktai: The Sun Is In Your Hand!
-CLASSIFICATION: I'm guessing he would be a weaker version of Samus, sans the screw attack.
-BIO: He's a kid who hunts vampires and immortals with a solar-powered gun, under the guidance of a sunflower named Master Otenko.
-FIGHTING STYLE: In Boktai 1, Django had only the Solar Gun, although he could customize it for almost any situation (rapid-fire mode, heat-seaking, sword-mode, etc). In Boktai 2, he gained the ability to punch, use swords, spears, and hammers. His A attacks would be punches, mainly.
-STORY ROLE: I've never played Subspace, but I'm assuming he'd be trying to purify--WAIT! I got it! He's trying to Purify Dark Link!

-ENTRANCE: A small ball of light would flutter onto the field, flash, and turn into Django. The warps in the Boktai games do that.

-SMASHES (optional): UP smash: the Spear frame; it makes his Gun burst out an attack that only hits close range. Forward: a simple punch, powered by his Heart Emblem (it powered up his Fist attacks in Boktai 2).

-SPECIALS: INERT: Solar Charge; Django raises the Solar gun and charges energy. See, each attack drains his energy, until he's totally drained and forced to use A attacks. Solar Charge recovers his lost energy; if he's in the open, it'll restore faster than if he were, say, under a platform (and thus in a shadow). He yells 'Taiyoh!' when he uses it. Forward: Solar Shot. Chargeable; just a simple projectile. Up: Jumps up; if he hits someone, he'll toss them down and shoot them with the gun. Down: Solar Spread; the Solar Gun shoots a wall of energy in front of Django. It negates projectiles, but not items. It'll damage anyone in range, but it constantly drains his energy.

-TAUNTS: Otenko would pop out of thin air in front of him, wink, and say "Oh-tenko!" He does that in the games, yeah...

-VICTORY: Django raises his gun to the sky and yells 'That's the power of Our Sun!'

-FINAL SMASH: The Pile Driver! Otenko shoots forward from Django; if he hits someone, Django raises his hands and a coffin falls onto the character. Otenko spreads his petals and yells 'Taiyoooh!', and the pile driver appears, and shoots the coffin. The character in the coffin takes 125% damage. The thing is, if there's a platform over the coffin, then the character only takes 50% damage.

This thread's title makes me think of a Charas version of Nightmare on Elm Street 3.  Dream Warriors - Dream Fighters, see the connection?

Essentially we DO, it's called the Charas Character Resource thread, but I'll bite.  After all, this might even serve as reference if someone has a death-wish - that is to say, wants to make a Charas-based Super Smash Brothers.

Warxe. :P

-FULL NAME: Bane Hawkbourne
-FIGHT NAME: Hawkbourne
-FROM: Hawkbourne (As-of-yet non-existent books that I will eventually put into work)
-CLASSIFICATION: In between speed demon and power house, more leaning toward power house.
-BIO: Bane is a half-elf born into luxury.  He's the youngest of three brothers, and thus upon his mercenary father's deathbed he was cut a fairly small portion of the inheritance, though substantial it may have still been.  With the money, he purchased the deed to a island sporting a derelict mansion.  After running into financial troubles, what with the upkeep of his new home, he sold himself as a mercenary.
-FIGHTING STYLE: Bane carries a broadsword in his main hand and a wand carved from a griffon's talon, clutching a plume of fire.  Obviously he'll be lighting something on fire, now and again.
-STORY ROLE: On some kind of job, obviously.  Just for the sake of plot complication, probably the "evil" side, if such a thing exists in the Sub-Space Emissary.  Never played it, myself.

-ENTRANCE: Something fancy.  Jumping up onto the stage from below would work.

-SMASHES: Bane hides his sword at his back and bathes it in his wand's fire, then gives the predictable swing in the respective direction.

-SPECIALS: Bane stabs forward with his sword, and progresses to an X pattern with his wand and sword, if used again.  The attack has no name.  It's just stabbing things.

-TAUNTS: Just one taunt, much like Snake's.  Bane sheaths his sword, dons the hood of his cloak and holds his wand to the sky.  During this, he can only move at his walking speed.  The taunt can be cancelled with the use of an attack, or if the action waits itself out.

-VICTORY: Bane sheaths his sword and dons his hood.

-FINAL SMASH: Bane drags the closest character in range to him, engulfs them in his wand's flames, lights his sword ablaze and does what-have-you while they're at his mercy.  The flames persist even after the attack, slowing the character down to some degree for 30-60 seconds.

Your avatar finally makes sense by the way, Djanki.

Too lazy to fill the whole thing out but Dante in SSB would be awesome. His final smash could be his devil trigger and stuff.
I'm using this excuse and throwing out Alucard as more-or-less a Marth clone.

AND HIS FINAL SMASH IS ALUCARD SHIELD + SHIELD ROD.

I had thousands of these plans. Though, most were probably already thought out, just not in real details.

-FULL NAME: Dr. Ivo Robotnik
-FIGHT NAME: Robotnik
-FROM: Sonic the Hedgehog
-CLASSIFICATION: Heavyweight; highly defensive on a simple look, with quick movement (I mean, he's able to run away from sonic for a sustained period of time on foot!) and heavy weight. His attacks are only of average strength, however, a bit slow, but can be more powerful when using charged smashes and missiles.
-BIO: I think it's pretty obvious.
-FIGHTING STYLE: Simple punches and kicks, augmented with a variety of traps and guns from his B-attacks.
-STORY ROLE: Villain, works along with the bad guys as scientist and researcher. Calm, gentlemanly, and composed... Until he sees sonic, of course, and goes nuts, throwing every bot and weapon he has at the little blue speck.

-ENTRANCE: Flies down in egg flier, jumps out, and gets into combat pose.

-SMASHES (optional): Foward - Haymaker with a slowish swing, but does good damage.
Up - Uppercut. Again, slow, but has good damage.
Down - Jump stomp. He does a short little hop, which does minute percentage damage, but has some serious knockback. Hitbox is a pair of dust clouds that emerge from his feet after he lands.

-SPECIALS: B - Vulcan and missiles - Gets down on one knee, and takes out a rocket launcher-like gun. On initial take out, it will launch a single shot, and B can keep being tapped in order to fire more of these projectiles. They'll eventually run out, however. The gun also has a laser sight, which, when kept on another player for long enough, will produce a crosshair. When B is released and not pressed again, the launcher will fire its missiles at each locked-on player. Robotnik can't change direction while using this move, however.
Foward B - Fireball launcher - Quick projectile attack that fires fireballs foward. Though the execution is quick, the fireballs themselves are quite slow. There's some pretty good explode range on them, however.
Up B - Jetpack - Allows Robotnik to fly up for a short amount of time. He can move left or right while it's being used, and will damage people caught within the flame trail it leaves.
Down B - Egg Mine - Leaves a mine in the background. It stays suspended in the air or on the ground on which it's placed, and is widely visible. However, it stays forever until exploded. Robotnik can have three of these laid down at the same time.

-TAUNTS:
1 - Adjusts glasses
2 - Crosses arms, and proclaims that his genius is unmatched. Yep.
3 - Laughs maniacally

-VICTORY:
Seen chuckling quietly, tossing a chaos emerald within his hand.

-FINAL SMASH: Egg Mech - Robotnik enters his mech, which has high speed, much more powerful B attacks, and though lacks A attacks, can do some damage just by bowling enemies over.

-FULL NAME:Megaman
-FIGHT NAME: Megaman
-FROM: Megaman
-CLASSIFICATION: Shooter mostly. Kind of light and a bit on the slow side.
-BIO: House-cleaning robot turned into a battle robot. The usual shtick.
-FIGHTING STYLE: Fights with his fists, mega buster, and the various upgrades he's received. He doesn't use any of the robot master weapons, however.
-STORY ROLE: Heroic fighter, who generally gets along well with the rest of the cast, save for sonic and Mario for some strange reason.

-ENTRANCE: Beams down from the top of the screen, and says "Ready!"

-SMASHES (optional): Forward - Punch foward. Quick, but does minimal damage.
Up - Flip kick - does a backflip kick. Does good damage and is fast, but has minimal forward range.
Down - Sweeping kick - Spins around several times with a leg outstretched. Knocks an enemy back and forth within the hitboxes of his legs.

-SPECIALS: B - Mega buster - The usual here. Rapid tapping of B will fire Plasma pellets, while holding it down will charge up the megabuster.
Forward B - Item 2 from Megaman 2; launches out a hoverboard, which Megaman can ride on. If used in midair, it will be fired under him so that he can ride on it. The hoverboard can run into enemies and will explode on contact.
Down B - Slide - A very fast sliding kick forward, for travel uses and evasion. It does some damage when used, but it takes a while to get back up from the slide.
Up B - Rush Spring - Rush appears under Megaman to give a boost with his spring back. Used in midair, Rush will hover using jets, and after he's done, he will beam back up.

-TAUNTS:
1-Cycles through his different weapons, changing colors. Depending on what color has been chosen for him, the weapons he cycles through will be from different games.
2-Rush beams down so that Megaman can pet him for a few seconds.
3-Pretends to charge up his megabuster, but then fires and nothing comes out.

-VICTORY: Takes off helmet and salutes.

-FINAL SMASH: Giga-Charge Shot. Megaman charges up a huge shot, which will easily hit the entire height of a decently-sized stage. The blast will chain-hit enemies until they reach the edge of the blast for some serious damage and knockback. Its only setback is that Megaman takes a while to actually charge up the shot.

More to come, I guess.

Okay, I caved in.

-FULL NAME:Kōki Kariya
-FIGHT NAME: Kōki
-FROM: It's a wonderful world
-CLASSIFICATION: Shooter
-BIO: Less motivated than many, yet can prove his worth quite easily.
-FIGHTING STYLE: Magic? (Never really explained)
-STORY ROLE: Possibly a way to be revived.

-ENTRANCE: Appears in a cloud of television static.

-SPECIALS: Up - A dash upwards with Shinigami wings, hitting anything in his way. Side - Fires a giant blast of energy. Down - Slashes his hand diagonally down to the ground and causes a large blast.

-TAUNTS: 1- Closes eyes and just sighs, smiling. 2- Observes lolipop.

-VICTORY: Raises arms in traditional "what'd I do?" style and sighs. "How bothersome."

-DEATH CRIES (optional): Moans (side), "Arrrrrrgh!" (up)

-FINAL SMASH: Kōki slides behind the target enemy, leaving Uzuki in his previous location. The two perform their fusion attack. Uzuki vanishes in television static.

-ATTACHMENTS (optional): None I can think of.

-FULL NAME: Tingle
-FIGHT NAME: Tingle
-FROM: The Legend of Zelda
-CLASSIFICATION: Sort of a lightweight, fast character
-FIGHTING STYLE: Uses pen, maps, and weak magic.  He can float like Kirby or Jigglypuff.
-STORY ROLE: Pure Comic Relief, wannabe sidekick/rival to Link.
BIO: Tingle is a strange eccentric map-maker who thinks he's "the very reincarnation of a fairy".  He spends his days hanging suspended from a small red hot air ballon drawing maps of the terrain of the world below, which he sells to customers in exchanges for Rupees (the thing he loves almost as much as fairies).
-ENTRANCE: Floats in on his balloon, sketching a map.

-SPECIALS: Inert - "Kooloo-Limpah!" Throws magical green glitter directly ahead of him. Forward - Throws one of his maps (think Dan's thrown autographs from Street Fighter series).  Down - Tingle drops a bomb which will fall straight down and remain wherever it lands until it explodes (power is the same as Link's bombs).  Up - Throws a Rupee of a random colour in an up-forward arc, damaging anyone it hits (damage is dependant on thw colour of the Rupee).
-TAUNTS: 1 - Performs a "Tingle Pirouette" (the little spin he does in Majora's Mask before inflating his balloon)2 - Giggles to himself  3 - Plays his Bone Ocarina.

-VICTORY: 1 - Does a "Happy Dance" (Basically what he does when he tells Link how lucky he is in Majora's Mask).
2 - His pet dog Barkle appears and joins him in a victory pose.

-DEATH CRIES: Does one of his "Yaaaahaaaa!!!" screams.

-FINAL SMASH: Rosy Rupee Rain - Tingle takes to the air on his ballon and a green crosshair appears onscreen. A swarm of fairies appears and rains rupees down on the area within the crosshair on tingle's command.  Tingle may move the crosshair at will.  After the Rupee-throwing ends, the fairies linger for a brief time, and will heal anyone who touches them.

here's one...

-FULL NAME: Seargent Cortez
-BATTLE NAME: Sgt. Cortez
-FROM: Timesplitters: Future Perfect
-CLASSIFICATION: Shooter (sort of a mix of Snake and Fox)
-BIO: The tough-as-nails, never-say-die, dumb-as-a-rock bumbling hero of the Timesplitters franchise. Tough, clumsy, and melodramatic, with what must be the world's lamest catchphrase.
-FIGHTING STYLE: In addition to brute strength and his wrist-mounted gravity manipulator, Cortez uses a variety of firearms, from the high-tech Plasma Autorifle to the almighty Brick.
-STORY ROLE: Probably tries to fight the bad guys all on his own, and fails utterly. He then proceeds to go back in time and confront the bad guys with their plan, thus causing all the trouble to begin with.

-ENTRANCE: Drops from a time portal, his gun falls after him and hits him on the head, he rubs his head, looks up, picks up the gun, and enters his combat stance.

-SMASHES: (forward) "Brick"-throws a brick forward. It travels a short distance before hitting the ground. It can be grabbed and thrown like an item. (up) "Shotgun"- quickly draws a shotgun and fires it upwards, before reloading and putting it away again. The damage is greater the closer the enemy is to Cortez. (down) "Timed Mine"- plants a mine that detonates after about 4 seconds. More damaging than Snake's mine, but has a smaller blast.

-TAUNTS-1-*points forward* "It's time to split!"
2- *Pumps his arms* "Oh yeah, I'm ready!"
3- *shushes* "Shh! Mum's the word!"

-SPECIALS: (inert) "Plasma Autorifle"-fires the autorifle straight forward. It fires with only moderate speed, but it's rate-of-fire improves the longer it is fired. If held too long, however, it explodes, damaing Cortez (and anyone else nearby.)
(down) "Plasma Grenade"-Pull out a Plasma Grenade, which can be thrown like an item. It will stick to anything it touches, and will detonate after 4 seconds. It deals relatively little damage, though.
(forward) "Gravity Manipulator"-fire a wave of force in front of Cortez. If it hits an enemy, Cortez will throw them forward. If it hits an item, Cortez will pick it up.
(down) "Rocket Launcher"-fires a rocket forward. Although relatively weak, the attack can be charged to fire up to 4 rockets.

-VICTORY: *yelling at wrist-communicator* "Anya! Get me out of here!" *static*

-DEATH: (normal) normal (upwards) DAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!

-FINAL SMASH: "The Cortez Paradox" -Cortez opens a time portal in front of him, steps through, emerges out the other side, and utters his catchphrase ("It's time to split!")...and three other Cortezes emerge and follow suit. The four Cortezs run rampant, blasting enemies with Plasma, Rockets, Bricks, and more, before finally finishing with a four-man simultaneous fully-charged 4-heatseeker attack. Another portal opens and three of the Cortezes step through, leaving one behind. "Heh! What a great buncha guys..." The player resumes control of the final Cortez. NOTE: If ANY of the Cortezes are KO'd, ALL of the Cortezes are KO'd (time paradox.)
